Ryzen 3900X thread

Wonder what happened to Anand Sharma to get a perma ban?

Back on topic though, is there an official 3900?

I've seen the 3900x, but ive seen reports of a 3900 as well

I just got home and booted up my system, and straight away I thought it seemed unresponsive...

I did a restart and all is good now but I wonder why that happened?

Currently using an EK Supremacy Evo block, AS5 spread over IHS using strip of plastic card. All three test room ambient is within a degree, I have changed between CPU multiple times and results are same within a degree or so.

My 1st and 2nd samples of R9 3900X have ~2C averaged CCD temperature difference, 3rd is ~7C, link to album of screenies. 4th image in album is 1st R9 3900X sample loaded with RealBench stress mode 32GB 60 minutes, ~0.9C averaged CCD temperature difference. Seems to me the EK block is working on Ryzen 3000 series as it should.

There has been an AMD update via windows update for the scheduler, so it could be because your system needed a restart after the update.

I don't think it was that as it wasn't until I read your post that I realised that there was an update waiting. Thanks for the heads up. :)

I need to use the DRAM Calculator, problem is when i try something different with the RAM, sometimes i need to reset CMOS if it doesnt like the timings etc i use and then have to put all my settings back in.. seems the 'Save to USB' option isnt saving to my sticks at any format. I hate having to redo all the bloody fan profiles :(

I have the slimmed down BIOS on X470 so there is no profiles and can only save the current BIOS settings to a stick as far as i can tell.

FYI Do not use previous version bios profiles when you update your bios. Always by hand.
Secondly, what's your RAM? Exactly model and timings.

Its the 8 Pack Team Group 3200Mhz (14-14-14-31) from OcUK. Also my Mobo never accepts a previous BIOS save anyway, i learned that when i did BIOS updates on it for my 2700X :)
