FOMO ?
you have 3060ti ? I have 5800x3d with 3080, doesnt make sense as the 3080 will hold it back anyway
Yes, just talk. Absolutely no need to spend any money. A GPU upgrade would be nice but the prices are currently very high, there's nothing I'm that bothered about playing and summer is just around the corner.

As long as they're legit orders I don't see why they wouldn't be honoured, it's not their fault the wishlist offered the product early. Sucks for everyone else who didn't realise that but what can you do about a technical hiccup.

I still blame AMD for any of these messes, if the UK got reasonable stock levels like say the US always seems to, then there wouldn't be such a big deal about pre-orders. 30 for launch is honestly pretty laughable.

Brexit and German overlords TBH.

The UK should get 90% of global allocation.

You order early through an unintended route, you take the risk your order will be likely be cancelled.

If it works, you’ve won. I would have tried it if I had known! So fair play.

Safter to just order when released through.

I mean ordering through your wishlist isn't inherently an unintended route. The whole point of it existing is to tell you when a product is available, haha.

That’s fair. They did say 2 pm though. You would think they will be cancelled. As I say if not, fair play, risk paid off!

An MMA style tournament is the best way to win priority and avoid this happening. Can stream on the forum. Be a lot more fun. See how much people really want them.

Genius idea TBH.

Can we have some more info on stock of the 7800x3D please Gibbo? You said about 470 are ordered? How likely are you to actually receive 470? Would it be possible you might just get 50 or something, or is the 470 amount confirmed as actually dispatched? I should be ok if you actually receive 470 and hopefully that will be this month?

Ridiculous really that I ordered at 2.01Pm and I am now worried I might not get it in the first batch of 470 units! I am a bit emotionally scarred from the 3080 situation! hopefully this CPU goes a lot smoother than that did. Would very much appreciate any more info about how likely you are to actually receive 470 units this month? Thanks.

Demand seems mental for these chips. Maybe because of graphics card prices are so high.
I think there's probably increased demand because the normal 7xxx series didn't seem too worth it for most.

That all said I don't think it's just demand, I think it's demand combined with abysmal supply. Apparently in the US Newegg had 7800x3d stock for most of the release day. Must be nice I guess, lol.

As for the 7950x3d, I legit don't think there's actually that much demand at all for it compared to the 7800. It just literally doesn't exist in any reasonable capacity(it seems like stores might have gotten 100 max since launch) so it makes it look highly in demand when it probably wouldn't be otherwise.

i honestly don't think demand is any different than any other chip on release, AMD are just playing silly buggers and not supplying in an obvious attempt at hype inflation, they have planned this launch for months in advance but they want me to believe they only managed to make enough chips to send out double digits to suppliers? ill eat my hat if they don't have warehouse's stuffed to the roof with these things...

This chip seems a great a way to squeeze more performance from expensive graphics cards.

My mate in the states was able to order two separate chips an hour apart from each other, seems US stock was pretty decent

I ordered a French one at around 4pm yesterday it's been dispatched today. It's still showing as in stock too so I guess it's not just a USA thing.

Have ordered one from OCUK and one from somewhere else so we will see which of the three turns up first

Looking at the threads and number counts it seems the X3D parts are drawing a lot of traffic and OCUK is only one store.
