If people are that disappointed, don’t buy the CPU. It’s the only way AMD would listen. If indeed other countries had way more stock than the UK.

Other retailers did by the looks of it (and have shipped). It doesn't look like any of the 30 units got shipped today (at least so far).

I had all the main retailers open and spamming F5 but there was 0 showing in stock, just pre orders. Unless they opened the back door too like OCuK then I don't know.

Yeah I was also following and didn't see any go in stock either, only went to blank pages that couldn't be added or already OOS. But I've seen a couple of people who have had shipment notifications from other retailers.

I feel for all that tried to get one. Guess it didn’t help with the wish list back door either.
 
Just a realised...I ordered the 7800X3D along with a new waterblock. What happens if the waterblock is not in stock when the 7800X3D is available for shipping? Do I go the end of the queue and have to wait until both items are available at the same time? Or maybe I have the option to ask to ship the items as they become available paying an extra fee?

No one opened the back door. Working out the link was not teh hardest thing in teh world to do and teh add to basket via wishlist route has been done before on pre orders

This isnt a new thing, the web page would have been made well in advance of the 2pm launch time, although the webpage was not made "live" if you know the URL you can still find the page, this has been happening forever on every website. To work out the URL for the 7800X 3D would have been really easy to do also as you only need compare teh 3D variants of 7950 and 7900 to figure out what the URL for the 7800 would be

I think its just luck of the draw and brand power to secure a lot of stock on release. in fairness ocuk did really well with the 7900xt and 7900xt they had a lot more than normal. So its swings and round abouts.

I still blame AMD for any of these messes, if the UK got reasonable stock levels like say the US always seems to, then there wouldn't be such a big deal about pre-orders. 30 for launch is honestly pretty laughable.

like I said don't get overly worked up over it, yes I agree with the sentiment and logic but its out of our hands. Either way you'll have the parts soon enough by the sounds of it, this isn't a replay of the Nvidia 3080 LULfest imho stock is coming which probably means its already shipped and on its way via freight containers
