Maybe but that’s a very hard pill to swallow as reinstalling everything and setting it up the was I want to will take ages.
I will install windows on a spare drive and compare it. If it runs the same I will stick with my old operating system.
I hear you which is why I have used Laplink PCMover for years which saves me days if not weeks of re-installing and setting things back up. I no longer flinch at reinstalling an OS as it only takes an hour to get the OS back to its previous usability.

Anyone had a look at curve optimiser for 7800X3D? Not really touched it much before but Ryzen Masters optimizer tool recommended -50 all core which seems a bit extreme.

Yeah I wouldn’t count on that being stable.

just use y-cruncher , using the 1-7-0 option to run all tests and start at -30 on each core, then weed out the cores that need smaller offsets (I go 5 at a time), then start bumping all remaking cores by an additional 5 until they fail and drop it back.. if you hit -50 I’d probably stop!

RM was hopeless fir me, it just Mac’s them out immediately but failed ycruncher..

I'm using those Buildzoid timings he posted a while ago, reckon you can give me better timings, I've got Hynix M die.

You will need more DRAM voltage. Start with VDD/VDDQ at 1.45v and see if stable then you can slowly start dropping it.

7950X3D - 30 units also arriving at OcUK Monday/Tuesday which will clear all the back orders placed 6th of March and earlier. Those who ordered 7th March onwards will be in the next back due end of April.

Great news!

Nah that’s not it as if you look closely at my previous video the GPU usage is between 52 and 67% so nowhere near maxing it out.
Anyway that video was recorded when running 5800X.
Here is a video recorded when running 7800x3D at 1080p with settings on high and textures on ultra.
FPS is higher but stuttering is almost as bad as before.
I will try tweaking memory and if that doesn’t help install fresh os.

The last of us PC is an extremely bad PC port, horsepower isn't going to solve it.

I thought I'd missed the first real batch but it looks like I'll get it earlier than anticipated :D
Just a shame the water blocks are out of stock.
