This Linux benchmark from Phoronix is interesting. Less than 50% power usage and higher frames in Cyberpunk ( source https://www.phoronix.com/review/amd-ryzen9-7950x3d-linux/3 ). This is linux with a 7900xtx so might be different on Windows but very interesting nonetheless.

wow thats impressive

I think the 7800X3D will be the gaming king and AMD know it so they’ve delayed it so they can sell their highest price CPUs.

When the 5800X3D was released everything else had already been our for ages.

It's pretty good inc multitasking as you'd expect and especially impressive in terms of power usage. I suppose the conclusion you can leap to in terms of 7900x4d review availability and delayed 7800x3d is that they'll probably all perform more or less the same in games (as the 5xxx series before the 5800x3d largely did).

These actually perform better than I had expected all in, especially when you take power draw into account. There are notable gains even with some games at 1440p/4k if you have the GPU grunt. All in impressed but about £100 too much. The 13900k is still a good option because it would take years to get the cost difference power in the extra power used relative.

Well the 7950X3D can be made into a 7800X3D easily. Just disable the non 3D cache CCD in BIOS and viola yo have a 7800X3D already.

What are people looking at to say, wow this is way better than the 13900k? Like, can someone break it down for me? Awfully lot of people going, THIS IS AMAZING THE DOGS DANGLIES etc
'Cos they're idiots? Looking at the reviews it pretty much trades blows with the Intel its faster in some applications the AMD is faster in others there is no clear winner. The one thing were the AMD is a clear winner is in power consumption the efficiency of AMD's design vs Intel's decision to brute force it means it really is the dogs danglies there
