Samsung Galaxy Note: 5.3", 1200x800 SuperAMOLED, S-PEN stylus, 2500mAh attery... *phew*

Me too, but the more I see youtube vids the more I think it is a smidge too big for everday convenience. Im seriously considering getting another SGS II as my daily phone now that they have come down in price and are still the mutts nuts, and a separate 7-8" tablet for media/browsing on the go.

The 7.7 an has a 3g slot for a sim card, and so you won't need the sgs2 if you don't mind having a bluetooth headset.

Got mine today! it's big but the size really isn't a problem at all. I'm perfectly fine using it single handed and Swype is a really cool feature. Screen is delicious too, it's offensive just how nice the screen it's :p. The fact that it's pintle isn't a problem at all. The pixels are tiny, text is sharp and well rendered and I'm extremely impressed with it. My iPhone 3G feels dirty and horrible next to it now, it keeps looking smaller each time I pick it up. I'll get some photos of it later on.

Went and had a look at one of these today in carphone warehouse on oxford st.

Impressions:

A - It is absolutely massive! (especially compared to my 3GS) even bigger than I expected.

B - They let me do the pocket test - I walked around the room in the front pocket of a normal pair of jeans. I could barely notice it was there, I don't think that there are any comfort issue in this regard.

C -I had a quick go with the stylus. Didnt find it very easy to use, and dont imagine i would end up using it much. I didnt think it seemed to respond well to being lifted on and off the screen to print letters.

As regards the screen quality etc they had very poor wifi so i could look at any websites. Seeing as all i got to look at were a few menus and tiles it was just like looking at a giant galaxy s II.

Overall thought it was very nice, and I am still planning to get one.

Dwarfs my 3G, but it's absolutely delicious. :p

It's the perfect size for everything I use it for which is great and I absolutely love the screen.

No regrets as I will be selling (most likely) in the next week or two, to make way for the Nexus anyway :)

I really like it though. It's a tough shout as to which I would keep if it was the Note or the SGSII...

Love the screen, love the size (in most cases) and actually like the ability to scribble notes. Just looking for a decent note app, that allows me to make a few pages of notes, rather than just a screen full :(

Why sell for the nexus?

I still lookin to pick one or the other up when paid this month. Though seems its actually cheaper in long run to contract than pay for phone upfront i always thought was other way around?

Whats the best provider for unlimited fast data? is it 3? i get unlimited on tmobile but hear its actually throttled?

I would disagree. Text looks great on this screen...

I imagine it's at least as good as the SGS2 and possibly better. Either way, I don't get these people saying there's some sort of text problem on AMOLED screens. Of course I can't speak for other AMOLED screens because I've only ever had one, my SGS2. But honestly, if my phone is anything to go by, then I don't see where the issue is. It's very clear text and I think people are being overly fussy for the sake of it.

I'm stumped at where you can get it in the street.

None of my the phone shops in Brighton have it. Nothing in Carphone Warehouse or Phones4u or any network store. I may buy one if I can see it in person
but I'm not keen on doing it online (Having said that if I hadn't preordered nexus I would have this in my hands now).

None of the shops in Derby have it either mate, i been trying to get a hands on myself not even adverts in the windows for it only for the 4s lol

Because the Nexus is the device I want...

Wasnt being sarcastic mate was curious why you would choose the nexus over it was all as i am still undecided between the two.

My main use is browsing/youtube etc which has me leaning towards the note, however i am currently on the original desire so am thinking the nexus screen might be plenty big enough in comparison to this anyway.

If you will be heading up to London for any reason - both the carphone wharehouses That I went into on oxford st had phones in stock.
