Samsung Galaxy Note: 5.3", 1200x800 SuperAMOLED, S-PEN stylus, 2500mAh attery... *phew*

Cheers for that Grrrrr - want to try it on the SII first as it rooted already.

So just to confirm 'LCDDensity for Root' is temporary and will not mess up my phone - just need to reboot to stock dpi?

Yep. I was certain anyway but i just double checked. Use the killall reboot method (on the Note, presumably the same for S2)

PS 160 dpi is pretty cool, maybe a bit too small though :p

I bought a couple of solar chargers from eb by way of China 5000ma/h, £15 each 1 for me and 1 for the lads primarily for the 7.7s, both work fine one of them has put 30% on my note in about 30/40 min the other has put 5% on a 7.7 in 8 min, I paid attention that time.

They're smaller than the Note, about as thick as mine in its silicone cover, and would be totally convenient to carry around even use one on the move, I'm mega pleased with the purchase and the free charging it brings:D:cool:

Link? would be handu for camping :D I currently have a small 12v and a female cig adaptor to charge when I'm out camping with the scouts

I think eb sell the same stuff as OCUK so best just do a search there for solar charger N7000 Note, iirc there weren't many sellers at 5000ma/h, ah my mistake, my gf did the purchase so I had no memory, I just checked they were £23.19 free p&p each.

RPAS Mobile, well packed, swift post, good items for the price, hope that helps.

I ordered some 7.7 cases and a Note case at the same time, they're still not here, the chargers arrived last Thursday.

I think you're going to have to reflash.. Seems you have to be very careful with changing DPI settings on the Note with ICS, certain methods will render it unbootable.

To change your DPI: Download ROM Toolbox from the play store. Under Performance choose Build.prop tweaks and change the DPI in there. I can confirm this works in ICS on the Note.

This worked brilliantly, stupidly i forgot to back up all my apps and data but it's a minor setback.

Has any members been using there Note, an noticed High Ram usage?
I was finding mine was accessing 600-700 easily with little open! :o

So I ask, after terminating ALL unused Apps + Services manually, how little Ram did your Note need to operate?
I am down too:
368MB

Apps Running:
Settings
Maps
Digital Clock
Task Manager
Swype

Cached Processes:
No Cached Processes!

An had no ill effects, like basic functions not launching! Obviously by loading internet + Power Amp Ram usage increase! Buts its quiet remarkable how much bloatware an un-needed apps can be cut..
Maps, has a nasty habbit of coming back regardless, an constantly caching versions of its self..

I went too this trouble, as I found GingerBread was very conservative with Ram, but Ice Cream Sandwitch if quiet poor! Sure its lovely looking + snappy, but its also a resource hog, an I wanted too trim the fat! :p
Back too a nice snappy ICS enviroment.. Now too keep it that way! ;)

I am sorry if people think I am rambling, or your late too the party son, but I am a new Android user, this is all new an a big learning curve!

Any last suggestions or notes ;) too help keep Ram/CPU usage too a minimum until needed!

EDIT: Wow, just done a restart, an down a lot! 303MB's :D

Yup I remember those from the search, no doubt they'll be ace, I chose not to use that seller because of the lower feedback score, bad eb purchases can lead to so much stress for a pathetic amount of cash and it's nearly always the postie what dun it, that's where I reckon my cases went:(

Just got my note back from o2 repairs and reinstalling everything. One thing i never had was a music player. You guys got any suggestions would also love something to download podcasts.

Thats one thing i miss about my ipod
