Seems to have worked :)

Strange one that. So I shouldn't unplug the phone with the screen on?

Thanks again.

The missus bought me a Note for my birthday (yesterday), loving it so far.

What cases do people recommend?

None, it's bulky enough as it is. :p

I bought a black Nillkin case when I first got my Note, it was quite good but I decided I needed a stand so I bought a Zenus case with built in kickstand. I used it for a while but I felt it was too bulky, and for the past few months I've had it bare with just a screen protector on the front.

If either take your fancy give me a shout.

I never bother with cases but regretted it on my first Note. So I've been using the official flip case on my new one and after the first week or so didn't find it intrusive.

I've got the official flip cover and quite like it, its just a slightly fatter back plate (replaces the existing one) and a leather(ish) flap that covers the front.

Ditto, I like my flip cover because it gives me the confidence to go naked screen which is well worth it, a much much better feel and visuals.

I bought a "genuine" sammy alluminium back with the leathery flap I've got another with the polycarbonate back on order, both cost about £15 when it arrives I'll take the ally one off and keep it for rough use.

Possible to link us if it doesn't break forum rules

Well guys, my S3 turned up today, I thought £422 all in was a good deal and it just tipped me over the edge. I can't really justify keeping both the S3 and the Note, so the Note will probably be up for sale next week. I will still be keeping a keen eye out for the Note 2, but I reckon we won't see that until at least Nov/Dec.

If and when I do eventually sell the Note, is it safe to do a full factory restore? I want to wipe it clean but keep it on the latest version of ICS.

Will do dude, though I'm out at the mo, on my Note now, it was Eb I just did a search for n7000 Flip case and found the alloy back one iirc £15 and change inc post, same for the one I'm waiting for:cool:

Here it is, the pattern on the flap looks good in rl as does the Samsung on the back it's slightly raised and engraved on the surface of the letters so some effort has gone into making it and it fits r well.

Here's a cheaper one that is imho the same but cheaper

I'm v happy with my cover, would have bought the cheaper one, but it does add some weight and say 3mm+ in depth hence me buying the new one however I like this format and will keep this one for roughing it, with the case on it weighs 220g.

The quality of the product is high enough to believe it is actually a Sammy product.

Ah, just been told by the gf who did the Eb stuff that I did get the cheaper one.

V late edit but thought I should add I weighed them last night as the genuine Sammy flip got here, yday, the aluminium back is only 5 gram heayier than the standard polycarbonate back, so not really a weight issue between them.
