Samsung Galaxy Note: 5.3", 1200x800 SuperAMOLED, S-PEN stylus, 2500mAh attery... *phew*

ok swapped my s2 for a note but having a nightmare trying to put a screen protector on (was straight forward on my s2), got a 5 pack of protectors but must have a dusty house because ive tried 4 times and seem to get pin***** bits of dust under the cover no matter how much i clean the screen beforehand.
Is there anything i can put on the screen to make it easier.

*** Sorted it it, closed the bathroom windows and ran the shower for 10 mins , steam collected all the dust and the protector went on fine.

Sick of the shocking battery life with ICS, even after pulling the battery and checking better battery stats.

I can tell my Note is working hard, as I can feel it getting warm in my pocket, when it should be sleeping!

Today
1hr 8min on screen time and down to 47%
Unplugged for 7 hours

L2_hsic - 5h 21m (This seems to be unknown what exactly is causing this??)
I have a various few others but they seem to be minor.

Getting fed up with playing this game, I think I might head back to HoneyComb.

How would you rate it compared to the stock Samsung ICS ?

I much prefer it for various reasons.

The stock ICS rom was about 600MB when I last looked at it, the CM9 RC rom? 140MB or so. I haven't noticed any "missing" features despite being under a quarter of the size.

Performance is greatly improved and generally the whole experience is just better. Also, you can use alternative launchers without them grinding to a halt, something which you can't achieve with touchwhiz/Samsung roms.

Note 2 roumours:

We already knew that a successor to the wildly successful Galaxy Note is already in the works and that it might feature a 5.5" AMOLED. Now, an insider source, whom we have good reasons to trust has send us a tip, saying the screen size is now confirmed.

The Galaxy Note 2 will indeed sport a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED and a design inspired by the Galaxy S III flagship smartphone. Interestingly, even though the screen size is larger than the original Note, the width of the Note 2 is actually reduced compared to its predecessor.
Here's a quick mock-up we made of how the Note 2 might look judging from this new information.

Even more interestingly, the release date of the Note 2 has been moved to September, rather than the previously rumored October. The reason for the switch is Samsung's desire to bring the Note 2 to the market before Apple releases the iPhone 5 in October, thus stealing some users from the Cupertino-based company.

he rumors of an 8MP camera with improved sensor, as well as 1.5 GB of RAM, along with a new Exynos 5250 chipset, featuring a dual-core ARM-15 processor remain unconfirmed at this point

ok thanks to the untimely demise of my desire hd i am left with no phone and looking for a replacement, the SGN has always caught my eye and with rumours leaking that the SGNII will be the same style as the SGS3 which im not fond of and confirmed dual core all beit a new chip set i might as well go for the design i favour more.

a couple of questions, heavy use my desire hd being the battery whore it was would see me from unplug at 7am to around 1 or 2pm with lighter use around 6 or 7pm before needing to charge, how does the galaxy note fare against them kind of numbers?

secondly, ill be looking to root and flash a clean version of ICS, i did this with gingerbread and ICS on my desire and also flashed new radios etc, should this be straight foreword on the Note and what if any functionality would you loose?
