Samsung Galaxy Note: 5.3", 1200x800 SuperAMOLED, S-PEN stylus, 2500mAh attery... *phew*

Anyone done the official update from GB to ICS and noticed Battery life take a nose dive?

On GB i would easily get 2 days usuage out of my phone but since loading ICS my phone is loosing about 10% battery per hour yet i have not loaded and new apps or change any settings since the update.
 
Got to love having your battery drain 30% in one afternoon when you aren't even using it. This time AudioOut_1 kept the phone awake for 7.5 hours.

The other day I found GPS had been keeping it awake for 20 hours, who knows why. Pretty much sums up my Samsung ICS experience so far.

You do realise terminating all unused tasks is needed, an most of the time it goes too DeepSleep.
My only annoyance is the Kernal Bug, that keeps the phone awake is tempermental.
Some days its gone, an great battery life is achieved, other days it manifests its self an I struggle to get 20hours.. :mad:

But when its gone I get nearly 3 days usage.
34.5 Hours on battery. 4 Hours active! 42% Battery. :cool:

That's exactly the point. It happens randomly, it may be ok for a day and then some random kernel wakelock will get stuck on and prevent the phone sleeping again. On top of that, ICS seems to have far more wakelocks than GB used to. So even when it does deep sleep, it gets woken more often.

The fact is that Samsung's ICS kernel is a buggy mess and this stuff wasn't a problem in GB.
 
Got my freebie olympic union jack back today and have had confirmation of my free Olympics tickets from Samsung, not a bad few extras. It's for Men's Quater Final Soccer and I've never been to a football match.

Got the Union Jack back on the phone now, but I have had to temporarily remove my Castle Greyskull Gelaskins cover so it looks ok :p
