2.6.32.9 root@SEP-51 #1 (or is it just the number that I should read out? not really into the Unix stuff)
I think I must have pulled the battery out before it powered off (by accident, of course) since there is no other possible cause that I can think of that would trigger this behaviour.
Cleaning data of the corrupted apps doesn't work, as I said earlier, even reinstalling the apps didn't work. The backup was taken from the phone directly.
I would like to recover Contacts but that doesn't seem possible in any way.
I was going to upgrade to Gingerbread anyway but since I've got no broadband atm and my phone broke at the least convenient time, I was pretty ****ed at it.
I've already ruled out most apps that could trigger crashing, uninstalling them solved the problem.
Android Market lost all the apps as well, some other are still missing but I managed to recover them back into Market by clearing the data twice.
One app is crashing on boot up, still, is there any log to check what it is? There isn't any crash message popping up.
I don't know anything about Clockworkmod.
I don't care about backing up the data besides messages (already done), photos (yet to do) and that's about it. All I want is my Contacts back, if it's at all possible (and seems unlikely atm). I've got a backup on my other phone but some numbers seem missing anyway. Not sure if I lost anything else that I should/could be worried about.
Also, Samsung Kies sucks cocks.
On an unrelated note, are there any relatively slim stylish cases that can take a mediocre drop for this phone? I've got a Case Mate Tough, sturdy as hell but the phone looks like a brick with it on.
