Samsung KS7000 55inch just been delivered...

Just bought some to try out (thank you for the recommendation).

And I had no idea these TVs had the back panel fall off! That's quite significant!

Not completely falling off:D

Some of the ks7000 range was effected with slight separation around the edge. Go to first post in this thread to see pics of problem.

Ah gotcha. Would help if I'd seen why the thread was started! Wrongly assumed it was just a discussion thread about the model.

My 49 inch version at least has the back panel attached, but I'm not 100% on the backlight bleed issue in the bottom left hand corner. It's hard to say whether I'm looking for it when I see it, or that it's actually prominent.

Anyone watching the boxing tonight? Getting terrible audio lag, like watching an old Japanese film.

Don't know whether it's my tv or my nowtv box.

Well I caved in over the weekend and bought the 55" KS7000. Amazing TV (poor mans OLED).
Obviously nowhere near the quality of my friends LG OLED, but it was half the price. I'm happy with it.

Any way to set a sleep timer without going through the settings?

My Samsung series 6 had a options button on the remote which allowed you to set a timer, seems we've gone back on ourselves here and made it more of a pain.

i'm sure it will be in the eco settings somewhere. where you can set it that if a button on the remote hasn't been pressed in 2 or 3 hours the tv turns off.

Seen that the 49" curved is £899 in various places, would a curved option look a bit odd in corner?

debating getting the flat or the curved in 49" as the prices are similar.

My old one you just pressed the options and were able to set a timer for 30 minutes, 60, 90 etc. Seems odd to take that away.

does seem odd. i don't have this tv but most remote controls do have a timer button on them or it is in the options somewhere.

i never use it though if i fall asleep the eco mode will kick in at some point.

What about the 'extra' settings? It brings up Twitter but I can't access the settings to change it, it's a little cog symbol but I don't have one on my remote.

I thought i had fully made my mind up on getting this TV until i noticed people mentioning "Judder" issues.
Any of you guys had issues with "Judder" ? , hoping it was an issue in an old firmware or something.

Just purchased this TV in 49" for £780, cant wait to get it.

Was debating on waiting for the 2017 range of TV's but the prices are sky high and it seems that the Samsung 2017 sets are no better than the KS7000 anyway.

As for the judder issues, I think a firmware update fixed it? most suggest turning the motion stuff off as well.

I had this issue with the 7500 - swapped it out for a 7000 and haven't experienced it since.
