Samsung LS34E790C - Curved 34" 21:9 super-wide

As I've said several times in this thread, Samsung simply don't have review samples available yet. Hence the lack of reviews from UK reviewers.

finally I have it set up just as I like it, I used global inferno's icc profile and in amd ccc under my digital flat panel, properties I changed preferred colour depth from 6 to 8, this really made the colours pop and I can now stop messing about with settings and enjoy some games, happy days

Mine is here, good bye old trusty Dell 2913UW :)

Thanks Global_Inferno for the ICC looks even better now!

How are you finding it compared to the Dell? I'm used to a Dell IPS panel with anti glare coating and wondered how you're finding the AMVA panel and semi-gloss coating on the Samsung compared to it?

Anyone else any thoughts on how this panel compares to any IPS/AG coated panels they've used previously?

TBH I dont see that much of a difference, they look pretty similar to my eyes. Only thing I do find better is the 1440 pixels compared to 1080

Perhaps I'm obsessing too much over the panel type when the difference between AMVA/IPS possibly wont be that noticeable!

I take it nobody else has had issues with their stands being wonky/lopsided like the guy's who posted the video review?

My stand definitely leans to the left, similar to the review :(

I am sure I will be able to sort it when I have the time.

That's kind of disappointing to hear on such an expensive monitor. Could it be the weight of the cables/connectors that's causing it to lean to the left as I notice all the inputs are on that side of the monitor? If you stand it up without anything connected is it still lower on the left?

It would drive me mental if my monitor was squint! I guess you could get a VESA mount for it but when you're spending £800 on a monitor you kind of expect the stand to at least hold the thing up properly!

To be honest, as I said in the review, it's fairly easy to solve; either push down on the right hand side slightly repeatedly and over time it seems to be coming back to central, or just use a VESA mount :)

bloody hell i paid full price, only had it 2 days may be i should return it under the distance selling act and buy the cheaper option :(

@gadget^: Same thing happened to me, honestly, don't worry about it. It's worth what you paid for it, and it'll go back up again probably. Just enjoy it!

It's like asking other people on holiday with you what they paid, there's always someone who got it cheaper... Save yourself the pain, don't ask, or ignore it! :D

Quick question for the owners. Does the display come with a displaport cable I could use to connect it to my Geforce 980? It looks like it does but I'm not very familiar with displayport connectors!
