I recommend one of those IDE/SATA to USB adapters. They're pretty cheap, and if you have an old spare 5.25" DVD drive (or HDD) lying around, it great for NC10 and other netbooks.

After my annoying bluetooth problems I rebuilt to XP Prof with a usb-ide device and a dvd-r drive.

Unreal and Quake 2 looking very nice on the move!

Just stuck in 2GB of Corsair 667Mhz ram.

anyone know if the samsung power supply can be used with american voltage? If so where can I get the right cable etc?

says 100 to 240vAC on PSU so yep should be fine...

just get a american travel adaptor for it from boots or sumthin

Thanks for that, have another little issue - my wireless keeps losing connection, it says excellent signal but loses the internet, messenger etc. I also cannot see anything on home network - any ideas? If I click repair then it works again, except the home network part!

My wireless working fine with my Linksys router, I think some people have tried using an older driver and this seems to have fixed the problem.

update:
ok so its all running smooth now.
installed the 250gb scorpio black 7200rpm with corsair 2gb 667mhz
battery life is good been running all morning with media player playing music and browsing internet, been on since 9am and still got 54% battery left!!

partitioned with 25gb os 210gb (ish) spare space
nlited windows disc thast came with it down to around 300mb

on custom settings in battery manager:-

brightness:6
cpu:auto
colorbit:32bit
system power source:everything on NEVER !!

hdtune:
temps:34c
transfer rate:
min:4.0mbs
max:71.4mbs
average:52.5mbs
access times:16.3
burst:69.6

doesnt seem any hotter or noisier even when accessing movies or music
