Cant really say as I imaged the recovery partition of a thinkpad onto it before it was put in the NC10..and its still on there.

I have 3 partitions, 97.6gb, 97.6gb, 102gb (plus the hidden thinkpad recovery partition. I would expect about 310gb to be usuable.

EDIT: See halfway down page 12 for HD benches (the figures arnt that different for average and burst-and not that noticable in use)

so is all the heat and noise generated bcos its 7200rpm or bcos its 320gb?
i was thinking well i have external wd passport for space so i might jsut go with the samsung 160gb 7200rpm as they is well cheap !!! but would it make it much slower than say the scorpio 160gb 7200rpm

I would guess its because its 7200rpm, but I got this drive as soon as they came out, quite some months ago now.

It may be that WD or other HD manufacturers have reduced it by now...

well i crumbled and ordered 2gb corsair and 250gb scorpio

after reading a few reviews on the samsung mp2 it said not to be that good as it uses a lot more power than seagate or wd. i can put up with abit of heat and noise!!!!

How do you get the memory cover off? ive undone the screw but it seems to be held in place by something else.

There are two clips either side half way down each side where the vent holes stop. Sometimes one side comes out before the other, or you need something thin to prise.

Got my blue one. Bluetooth to mobile fone will pair then keeps disconnected after less than 10 seconds. Other pc to mobile fone is fine though. So much for mobile internet.

ok found them after going mad....the drivers for the Q210 work perfect.
im loving this vista on the nc1o everything seems abit faster and smoother, ive still only got the 160gb hdd and 1gb of ram but soon to have the 250gb scorpio and 2gb ram

yeah runs great, try to disable all vista's indexing rubbish though

i just tried to install vista on a m8s eepc just for laughs (1.6 atom , 20gb ssd, 1gb ram) and gave up as once in vista it was just to slow. think the ssd was a real bottleneck.

we're lucky in that these nc10s have nippy standard HDs...

Anyone got bluetooth working? I pair to my mobile to use it as an access point. Disconnects before 10 seconds though. Same to my desktop pc.
