The speed benefit is mainly for transferring/streaming large files within a network.

Just ordered a black one seeing as the Dell Mini 10 pricing has gone stupid.
I've also ordered a 2GB stick (£17) as I intend to run Windows 7 and an Intel 5300 WiFi card (£15.50) as lack of 802.11n is one of the few things that lets the Samsung down vs some of the other netbooks.
Just completed a clean install of XP onto mine, but can't seem to get some of the keyboard shortcuts working again even though the Magic Keyboard application has been put back on.
Some keys work (CPU speed), but others (wireless, brightness) aren't and there doesn't seem to be an easy way to reset them up (hardly any options in the keyboard app).

Can I ask where your getting your wifi card from??
Doesn't the 5300 use 3 antennas? I am guessing you would need to add the third one as the stock card in the NC10 only has 2.
so is there a follow up to this notebook planed?
Yes the NC20.
I wouldn't call the NC20 a followup though as the only difference is a bigger screen and a VIA nano processor, 12.1" is getting out of the realm of netbooks too.
What would you call it then??
A Laptop?
Apple made a 12" Powerbook that came with optical drive etc. just like a normal laptop and they didn't call it or class it as a "Netbook" so shouldn't Samsung.
But no matter what we think it is, it is the next incarnation of the Samsung NC Netbook range is it not??
Yes and No
It is the next Samsung NC range but at 12" can or should they still call it a Netbook?
