any of you fine people use Nikons Camera Control Pro 2 on there nc10 ??? am wanting a small netbook that i can use for backing up photos on the go and to do some time lapse pictures using this program

looking at that it should be ok am just wondering about the ram as the pics on full res on my d80 and pretty big

I disagree at the moment. I'm sure when the RTM Windows 7 comes out it'll be fine, but I got rid of Windows 7 on mine because things like Bluetooth (especially my mouse) was unbearably unreliable. Also, Samsung haven't released official W7 drivers or utils yet so you have to work around some of those issues. In all FOR ME, it was too much of a compromise when XP worked completely flawlessly.

Performance of W7 seemed fine on mine though with 2GB RAM.

Ok well i now have Windows 7 Up and running! everything seems so different from XP!

How do i get all the Samsung Applications back?
So i can use all the Fn Keys!

Edit: Also i can only connect to the internet via Wireless, its not picking up on my Cable connection at all, In Device manager the Ethernet Controller has not been installed..

Cant find a way at all to install my internet controller, how did you all do it??

To get the ethernet going you need the drivers. Get them from here http://www.marvell.com/drivers/files/yk60x86_v10.66.4.3.zip

Unzip it and go into device manager. You will probably see the ethernet driver with a yellow question mark. Just update the driver and it will work fine.

You can get the samsung apps back from here:

It will be under the downloads somewhere - that's where I got mine from.

Latest RC1 build of 7 running superbly here. Nice UI changes too, also feels a bit more smoother around the edges.

any chance of some screenys please ??? desktop and general apps

also can someone confirm that you get a windows xp disc (i no it seems like a stupid question with the netbook not having a drive)

Hey mate,

You will love the NC10!

Nope you dont get the XP disc, however there is always a installed version of Windows XP on your hard drive in a seperate partition, so you will never loose it.

If you need to reformat just select it and it will do it all for you, very easy!

great cheers for that i take it you lose that xp option if you install another hard drive yes ???

Just had to cancel the order and get it from the jungle as ocuk had problems with my card with it been a high risk item they wanted me to send them driving Licence and bank statement copies, never had that problem before so why now

I removed the installed XP image as I have XP Pro VLK anyway so will use that when the 7 license expires - maybe I'll buy a Netbook edition license of 7 when it comes out

I'll get a Video of the latest internal RC build on the NC10 running tonight for you

it will be a few mins long in glorious 720p resolution \m/
