Samsung U28D590 mini review

Hi guys been following the thread, would really like to know if any one has connected a console 360, XBos One or PS3 via HDMI. Would like to know what it looks like at 1080p or with the monitors upscale. is the 30Hz a no no for console gaming.

Does the Samsung limit to 30Hz at 1920x ? on my AOC I can run it at 1920x1080 @ 60Hz on the non-DP connections and it doesn't look too bad at all - no distortion on text, etc. like you normally get with scaling where it can't map 1:1.

Hey bud,I've tried out my Xbox One on it,For Forza 5 it seemed great. Not tried anything else yet.

I'll get back to you when i get chance over the next couple of days.

No Rroff, 60Hz and scaling down doesn't harm the IQ either.

Is this Samsung Monitor really all this very good and has no flaws ?

I prefer the stand, connectivity and VESA mounts (not a big thing for every one) on the AOC but people seem to be more positive about the Samsung for gaming though I've not tried one to see if there is a difference. They are as TN monitors go very very good though.

because the PS4 doesn't support 4K

What's the maximum resolution the PS4 can handle for the moment ?

I've also just noticed it says the Hdmi Output is (30Hz, now I am sure that an ordinary TV for
the PS4 or other console uses about 60hz, which I assume would make this unplayable at an decent rate ?
This is rather disapointing since if it says it can do the PS4 then why cant it do the PS4 at an decent equal
rate of 6ohz ?

I don't know much about them but it will be limited to its HDMI output which iirc is 1920x1200 maximum. Whether the PS4 can actually render games at this resolution (or even 1080p) is for someone else to answer
