Samurize Scripts

Will someone please complain to the BBC about this.

I run 2 weather scripts, the local one was changed to the new version and the 2nd one was awaiting some kind person to change it for me

Anyway now the 2nd location is working perfectly and my local weather isn't

Oh also,

i'm trying to make buttons to link and replace my current icons on my desktop.

Includes :

My computer
recycle bin
Internet explorer
network places

How would i make shortcut to these, what are the commands ?

i assume internet explorer is just iexplorer.exe but what about the rest ???

Also am i right in think i just have an 'invisible' text box under the picture ?

Right, I've gone back to V9.0 of the weather script, everything works except from the Current Condition, and the weather icons. What am I doing wrong in terms of the icon? I inserted the correct one (I know it's different but the name is the same).

That WinXP & servicepack information at the bottom right corner has nothing got to do with Samurize. Its just something i made available through TweakUI.

Wondered why mine still hadn't updated! Went back to 0.9 and all works perfect again.

Would you mind sending me a copy of the 0.9 script as I've lost my version of it? My email is in my siggy below. If you can then please rename the .vbs to a different file extension so Outlook doesn't quarantine it.... Thx.

I've reverted back to 0.90 and everything is working now except the current conditions (it's outputting as "/></td></tr></table>)...

Any ideas?

Not for me, all the weather conditions are messed up... Temps work but not much else.

aye 0.9 was working fine last night - it would seem the BBC have "updated" their weather site layout once again!?!!1

edit: ok just changed "back" to 0.91 and it works alright...

grrr, my UKTV.txt file is now blank! ah sometimes i just want to give up

Thanks NicktheNorse, but as you've correctly noticed, they've changed the format again to the one supported by v0.91.

They have also introduced the use of the weather symbol file 'na.gif' (rather than '99.gif' as used previously) in situations where they don't have a current conditions. So, you may need to create a copy of 99.png (in Samurize\skins\bbc_weather) and call it na.png

I hope this settles down soon, as I don't really have the time or inclination to be tweaking this every day....

Does anyone know how to add a tv channel which isn't on the Teletext site?

Or is their another script about that uses another website for tv channel info i.e. RadioTimes? I heard there was one but can't confirm.

The channel I want is LivingUk which isn't on the Teletext website tv list.

Not normally - the format of the pages has been perfectly static since I started to use them for Samurize. However, they've been doing some redesign of the 5-day forecast pages (to use Cascading Style Sheets I think), and they seem to have made a bit of a hash of it.

Hopefully it will settle down soon. I'm dropping an email to the developer on the bbc weather team who replied to me before to see if he can give me an update.
