ve just put my serial number into the asus site to check if my mobo is affected and its says my board is not affected???

Confused as i thought every mobo has the Intel Sata problem?

My Mobo is the ASUS P8P67 Deluxe <GA> and was bought yesterday

Can someone clear this up does this mean i have the B3 chipset?

I am super envious! Where did you get that board from! If they exist over here already - WHY aren't they replacing them.

I have just put the serial number of my boad in on that page, and received the same reply, so it obviously can not be relied on.

I know for a fact that my board IS one of the affected ones, and this has already been confirmed to me on the telephone, by Asus.

No boards with B3 chipsets have yet been sold through UK retail channels.

guys as i said iin other thread

To anyone saying their board is not affected make SURE you type the seriaL in correctly.

Mine is effected, however out of curiosity i replaced 0 with O and rather than come up with incorrect serial it says not affected (poor design imo)

Additionally, users can easily identify revised products by checking for labels showing “New B3 Revision” displayed on products and their packaging.

Should have a sticker on the box saying it's revision B3 if it is.

I haven't seen the other thread, but you are right!

When I replaced the fourth character in my serial number (which I had previously entered as a letter 'O') with a 'zero', it then told me that it was affected, after all.

What they SHOULD have done (and which they can tell from their records anyway) is, after you have entered the serial number, to confirm the actual model of the board, which would help to avoid any possible misunderstanding.

I agree that it is potentially very confusing and will, I am sure, mislead a lot of their customers.

As live in the states i did hear over seas will recieve the new boards before over hear don't quote me on that as it is hearsay. With me living in the states there is absolutely no old or revised boards availible' hince thats why i bought my from OverclockersUk knowing it could be or couldn't be affected and im very impatient on waiting on new toys as i call things :)

I will return mine to MSI when the time comes but until then im not going to worry about it one little bit, im even running some devices on my sata ports to prove a point

Has anyone on ocuk actually had a failure yet??????????????
