SAPPHIRE RX 480 NITRO NOW AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (WORLD FIRST) !!!

Optimistic my 8G is somewhere in todays batch then, being order #69 :D

These are some impressive numbers for RX480. Even better that OCUK hit the ground running with this launch grabbing the stock it could :D

Highly possible, I just double checked we actually did get nearly 100pc on 8G OC and over 50 units on 4G.

Sapphire done great work as always prioritising stock for OcUK. :)

Is that 10000 pre-orders for OcUK,the UK or worldwide?

That is the amount OcUK has ordered from manufacturer. :)

So just OcUK!

I think we have enough stock to clear all 4GB Nitro pre-orders and nearly 100 Nitro 8G orders will ship out today.

A lot of people will be playing with Nitro's tomorrow! :)

10000 @ £200 approx min estimate average price for all the Nitro 4gb & 8gb cards

Thats £2 million! ooppft!

Just this month so far we have already shipped over 3M value in graphics cards alone, July 2016 is our record month in the history of OcUK with around 7-8M worth of goods shipped in a month.

It is totally insane at the moment and is being fuelled by VGA and VR launches. :)

That's really odd.

ASICs are orders of magnitude better for mining, so now that there are ASICs for anything you'd want to mine, why would anyone go back to GPU mining?

Certainly I can only imagine dabblers and amateurs using them for that purpose. A serious mining outfit wouldn't use anything except ASICs, surely?

We have customers trying to order several hundred at a time for mining, we don't ask them why or their reasoning. But GPU mining is still going on for sure! :)

Until stock improves we simply informing them we cannot do large trade orders.

Cue Number 183 - Arrrrrgh!
The sooner I can replace the coil whining bitch of a 970 the better!
Gibbo, after that first 100 when the next lot in ?

More are due by end of this week if all goes well. Sapphire are huge so can product cards pretty damn quick once they have GPU's from AMD. :)

Absolutely beautiful card.

Agreed I think I have to say this Nitro is the best looking card of all time, when I got my sample I was impressed by how clean and high-end it looks, then I held it and it also feels solid as well.

Sapphire have nailed it, the sales show this as RX 480 Nitro 8G OC is our best selling card of all time for the time window it has being online, if the sales remain it will outsell our best selling SKU of all time which was the MSI 970 Gaming which sold close to 10,000 units in the 2 years it was available.

The Sapphire has a cracking start as it is already beyond 1000 units and sales momentum in last 48hrs is actually increasing because several reviews have being published that are all raving about how amazing it is.

So we are pushing to get this card to sell 10,000+ units within year 1. :)

Update on OCing: I may have just pushed my memory up to the end of the slider and it didn't crash but my screen started flashing and stuff. 2200Mhz seems to be ok though :D
Having to stop for a bit now but I'll let you know how my final OC goes.

1360 / 8200 is pretty much a safe bet on these cards. Any higher is much more difficult on stock voltages and air cooling.

That sounds worrying... I think

1.5% is exactly 1362MHz which is what most reviews have being posting, 3% is 1382MHz which only some cards can do.

These are the Boost editions with 1342MHz stock speed, so there is not much more left on the table, any more will require extra voltage. Also some actually respond better to being undervolted, so always worth a try. :)

It's funny because to enthusiasts the cards not OCing very well can be a bit disappointing, but what it really means is that the manufacturer is giving you the best they can out of the box, which isn't a bad thing.

To be honest, it would seem that the option of faster out the box seems to help sell the cards more, Zotac 1070 and 1080 Extremes being a perfect example of this as those boost at over 2GHz out the box and they sell incredibly well.

Hey Gibbo, just out of interest, do you have any idea where geographically are you getting the orders from? Mostly the UK? Rest of Europe or USA? You have at least two customers from down here in New Zealand because I sent my buddy to you too. I'm hoping the card doesn't take like 3+ weeks for international shipping.

One customer in Canada took 20 units, I am guessing a small store out there, seen a few orders from US, New Zealand, Australia and of course through Europe too. :)

Overclockers UK is known worldwide, it is great when I go Las Vegas (CES) and Taiwan (Computex) people literally will see my OcUK top and come over and say are you Overclockers UK, is it Gibbo. I am like yes and they are like yeah I see your post on the forum and hear so much about your company. Yes most the people I meet think I actually own the company, I wish I did, haha, but it is great to be part of a company that is recognised not just throughout Europe but USA and Asia too. :)

So when is more stock expected? 5th as I as told today or 12th as someone else has reported?

Around 50 units this Friday or next Monday, then more later that week.

AMD also inform me over 100k units of RX 480 are shipping to AIB's in the next 10-12 days, so I think by middle of August (2 weeks), we shall be in a much better position and would have cleared the majority of backorders.

People getting their cards already, and folks in the USA getting their Powercolor Devils. I'm just sitting here eagerly awaiting OcUK to get thousands of stock so folks in the EU can get some cards as well. :|

Powercolor informed me today, no Devils have being shipped to end-users anywhere in the world, stock is still yet to leave Asia. They said the only 480 Devils shipped are to reviewers and press, as such it is those images being seen on forums.

To AIBs worldwide... that's not a lot at all. In fact it's a tiny amount.

100k GPUs for the entire, world-wide market...

If they shipped that amount every week, its a lot. Why do you take a number and post as if that is it?

You do realise this is a GPU manufacturer, they are constantly producing GPU's 24/7 around the clock. 100k is just for the next 10-12 days, I think if they could maintain that production and constantly sell out, well AMD would be doing very well indeed. That is just one GPU, they have others in their lineup too they are manufacturing.

What's the ETA on the 4GB version?

Those who already pre-ordered 1-2 weeks. If pre-ordering now around 2 weeks, essentially pre-order to get in the queue, because at present were selling around 100 units per day, so they won't show in stock for sometime due to their popularity.

Between the three Sapphire Nitro models they are our best selling cards, outselling everything else by a long distance.
