SAPPHIRE RX 480 NITRO NOW AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (WORLD FIRST) !!!

What's really annoying me is the lack of feedback. According to Gibbo the Powercolor cards were supposed to have arrived two weeks ago.

What's worse is he said Powercolor told him they haven't shipped anywhere, yet there are folks in USA on Reddit that bought some at retailers and have them.

OcUK were supposed to be world first for Sapphire Nitro stock, and yet there are once again folks elsewhere somehow buying them.

We don't even get an email from them about our orders saying there are delays, or forums posts. Just nothing...it doesn't help.

Powercolor just passing on what they told me, maybe they lie.

Sapphire, we have already shipped close to 200pc of Nitro out over a week ago, so we were first, we still have over 1000 backorders to clear and more stock is arriving next week.

So of course if 10 units goes to a competitor with no pre-orders then of course they show in stock, Sapphire made it clear to me that whereas OcUK was getting 90% of UK allocation on Nitro 480, the other 10% would indeed show up elsewhere in stock as those resellers never took pre-orders like OcUK did.

There's nothing in stock at the price so the current listed pricing means nothing sadly.
The few that are in stock cost as much as the 4GB 480 MSRP.
Remember, Gibbo himself said the 8GB 480 was supposed to be a £199 card.

I really hope so, GF seems to have a messy process that, and I suspect they were mostly used because TSMC is far too busy with other others. Namely NVIDIA, Apple, and the console SOCs; so AMD went with GF to just get something out for desktop GPU users.

Yes and it would have being £199, but then we left EU and the pound weakened against all other currencies making nearly all computer components 10% more expensive throughout the UK.

Don't blame AMD for prices being 10% higher than they should. :)

Hi there

Update from Sapphire on RX-480 is no shipments this weekend, next shipment is scheduled to leave Hong Kong next weekend, as to how big that shipment will be is unknown, I am just being told it will be big.

Hello Gibbo.
Please, can you tell us something about PowerColor RX 480 Red Devil? Any communication with PowerColor? Any news? Next week or later?

Thank you in advance.

Powercolor are not replying, but the last update was to expect a shipment this weekend, the fact they are silent says to me there is no shipment this weekend.

no shipment this weekend?... leaving hong kong next weekend!!?

gibbo where did you get the 22nd from? feels like its all just been a con to get every to use your site to be honest.

im going to be cancelling today. waited far to long now. every date just getting pushed back and back.

you took my money fast enough though didn't you.

Around 200 cards were shipped on 22nd, if you go back a few pages you can see this from people receiving cards from OcUK. :)

Sapphire original scheduled this weekend, but the latest is nothing this weekend with no reason for the delay and just to expect shipment next weekend. I spoke with AMD and AMD have confirmed large quantities of GPU have being shipped so I am confident Sapphire will ship next weekend, but how many is an unknown.

Where these 200 of the Nitro+ OC or a mixture of these plus normal Nitro+ and 4gb versions as it seems a bit odd i didnt get anything in this batch given my queue position if there where 200 Nitro+ OC?

There was around 140 units 8G Nitro+ OC RX 480 and 59 units of the 4G version, these are all now with customers over a week ago, like I say go back a few pages and you can see customers receiving said cards. :)

And now they have the Sapphire RX 460 Nitro in stock

And still no RX 480 Nitros are Sapphire having a joke?

No Sapphire are not joking or taking the pee, they want to build more RX 480, but as can be seen on a whole RX 480 is in shortage and just like all other partners Sapphire are waiting for GPU shipments from AMD. The good news is Sapphire now have taken delivery of RX 480 GPU shipments from AMD this weekend, so we will hopefully see Sapphire shipping some good volume this week on RX 480 Nitro's. :)

Hi there

OK we have a very large Sapphire delivery due end of this week, no precise day because deliveries from Hong Kong do not come with precise dates but if all goes well stock should be here Thursday / Friday.

So fingers crossed but hopefully many of you will have your Nitro's in time for the weekend if all goes to plan. :)

Thanks for the update Gibbo. If they go out on Friday do they get sent out for Saturday delivery?

They get sent out on the shipping method you choice. Anyone wanting Saturday delivery would need to call sales and pay the extra.

We cannot offer it as a free upgrade due to not enough margin in the product, otherwise we would.

Any idea how long it will take to clear the pre-orders, and when these will actually be "in stock" on the website?

Also when they are in stock, will the price of the 4GB Nitro go up?

The 4G price is under review yes, because the margin is under our minimum at present but we are holding it, though the pound is under 1.30 today if it does not recover due to low margin and continuation of pound weakening the price will have to move to £209.99, so if your contemplating buying one then buy one now because I can guarantee you in the short term it won't be any cheaper and I can also guarantee on the 4G Nitro if you order now you will have it next week. ;)

To be fair he did say they asked Sapphire to send as many as they could.

Yes, a lot more should arrive next week as well production is finally into full steam ahead, even the other brands are starting to ship as well, which can be seen from XFX in stock and Devil cards also shipping today. :)

Great news!

Another very large batch of Nitro stock is leaving Hong Kong today, that means by next week we would have cleared all our backorders, so everyone who has pre-ordered a Nitro card will have it by next week, guaranteed. :)
