The kickstarter has you, backed so many projects now. Must be over $1000 not all games though. So far only one has turned up.

Is there any kind of protection from people abusing Kickstarter? I mean whats to stop these people taking all the money and running? Do they sign a contract that says they have to give all the pledges back if they dont release the product?

Nothing as far as I'm aware.
Just have to be artful, anyone who doesn't post updates and reply to the comment section makes me wary, I have canclled a couple due to that, not thinking they can deliver.
You aren't actually buying anything, you are funding. It's the risk you take. It's a reward not a product.

Tbh, this one isn't worth worrying about in that regard.

This is only the third game I have backed, and one of the other two didn't make it unfortunately

The only thing like this I've funded is the Angry Video Game Nerd movie. I gave $200 towards that, which gets me my name in the end credits, amongst other stuff like a signed photo which I've already recieved.

I caved in and went with the £95 option. Almost went for the £60 one, but the exclusive skins sold me in the end.

Dont think we'll be getting the £500,000 stretch goal, unless they make another £30,000 in the next 40 minutes

I think we will easily get the 500k stretch goal, the PayPal goes towards that and you can still pledge on that, paypal is at 12k ATM.

I don't recall ever being involved in a beta, but this I've paid to be in the beta and there I was thinking I'd grown out of games.

Nostalgia has a lot to answer for.

If it wasn't for certain un-expected expenditure in the last few weeks I would have gone for a higher pledge. I will however upgrade my pledge when they provide the options later on.

Hmmm, having just received the latest (only?) update since the kickstarter finished I'm not hugely filled with confidence. Seems to be a lot of general faffing around and very little actual game being worked on?

Just worry that so much of the funding is going on their swanky offices and lawyers and accountants that it runs out, but we'll see....
