Surely that's placebo? Personally not noticed any difference! I was more on about the health of the cable.
 
Induction issues can be increased with a coiled cable but unless there is a mains cable or some other high power transmission cable in (really) close proximity it shouldn't be an issue.

:eek: Don't know about you guys, but "tap tap tap tap tap tap..." while the cables touch each other during music listening isn't normal :p
 
sounds like a very badly designed cable to me - just because it uses good components, doesn't mean it's a good product.
 
I am loving these headphones, going getting the yamaha dsp a1 to see how they sound with that. Heaviest amp in the world to use for headphones probably lol
 
Yup using the box now for storage on the side table when not in use. It adds a mental feeling of "occasion" too when getting them out to use :cool:
 
mine have been hanging on my mug tree along with my K702s for the last 18 months and still look and feel brand new.
 
So I finally upgraded to these from my old HD465's, I only paid £140 for them I think that's an ok price?

Will I notice a difference in sound by using a dedicated headphone amplifier instead of using the socket on my integrated amplifier?

I am just doing some sound comparison tests between Apple Music on my 2015 MBP and good old CDs on a mid range CD player, tried a few different albums and cannot tell the difference at all, neither can the missus. Are our ears just rubbish or this normal these days? I've heard the new MBP has a great DAC
 
That must be an earlier version as the box is grey instead of black on current versions? Is it solid?
