I wanted a nice canvas to hang on the wall but objected to the current prices for "modern art" pieces so I painted this.

Just a few doodles I did when I was le bored

That image just reminded me of the Audio Phreaks label for Bar9 - Motion :)

I'll post up one in a bit that I have been working on, nothing special. Shift I agree with the black and white thing, looks more epic :)

Very random and terrible image (proportions are well off and I CANNOT do legs) but here goes nowt!

Modest, just a bit. The anatomy is brilliant, nice style :)

Ta. Life-drawing, particularly short dynamic poses, is one of the best ways to improve your ability and add the ultra important depth to your drawing that makes it look more convincing. Many people learn by copying pictures from mags etc, and while that's fine, it often means they end up developing great shading skills but their stuff looks 'flat'.

You don't have to go to classes (although you should!), things like Burne Hogarth's Dynamic Figure Drawing (and the rest of his books), or that classic 'How To Draw Comics The Marvel Way' are pretty essential tomes for the budding pencil artist. That and looking at all the 5-star sketchbooks on Concept-Art.org <3

Do you do 3d modelling as part of your job skillmister? If so what do you do? (plus whats the polycount on that bad boy?)

Same thing, does 3d work count as art? Here's some stuff from my dissertation...

Nearing the end of this one hopefully, seems to be taking shape around the face :) You chaps in this thread have spurred me on to actually finish a sketch for a change and get down to the finer details which I normally disregard!
