I want a damson s14a so much. I think it will be my next purchase. Let me know if you decided to free up your parents garage! :p Last time i was in a position to buy i couldn't find one i liked and bought a supra instead. This time its competing with an 8 series for that spot on my driveway.

Damson is definitely the best colour to go for! There have been a few tasty damson ones up for sale on the owners club recently, the highlight for me would be a 400bhp+ car going for about £6.5k I think?

These cars have gone up value a decent amount by the looks of things, I paid £2700 for mine 5 years ago, don't think I would get the same bang for buck anymore :o

Would love to try out one myself. When i was looking for one a couple of years back they were all around the 2-3k mark. Seems most are 5k plus now !

That one sounds like a lad I know! Was it in Wales? He used to have a seriously nice Starlet before he got the Silvia bug.

Here are the 2 JDM cars I owned several years ago.

98 Spec ITR

Evo III

Also my dad had this Galant VR4, picture was taken at JTS 2008 next to my brothers JDM Supra TT

Nice selection, I owned a 98 UKDM Type R DC2, an Evo II and my Dad also had a VR4 :p

Will dig out some pictures.

DON'T QUOTE IMAGES!

Love that deep burgundy colour on the S14, fantastic looking car from what now seems a bygone era of great JPN sports cars.

S14, S15, R33, R34 and other Nissan's are ageless cars. The new cars don't look as good and they aren't as refined any more... :(

Thanks for the compliments chaps :)

It really is a lovely car and one I hope to be able to spend a decent amount of money on to improve. The colour looks best in bright sunlight as it's got loads of metallic flake in it. One criticism is that on a grey day it looks quite flat.

In the future I definitely want an Rx7, that's my ultimate 90's Jap couple

By the time I'll be able to get insured on a S15, they'll probably cost as much as the R34 GTR's now cost... :(

I grew up in that shape Galant which was really comfy! In fact most of my parents cars have been slightly-more-interesting-than-your-usual-civic-but-probably-not-actual-JDM-as-they-were-sold-in-the-uk Japanese cars...

1990 2L Galant hatch
2000 Galant saloon
1993 Hot Galant hatch (don't think it was a vr4 but it had a big engine with 4WD and 4WS)
1997 Primera GT

Keep the pictures coming so I can stalk more!

I found the seats so comfy in the old thing, sink in!

The 93' you mention would likely have been a 7g with the 2.5 or even the 2.0 twin turbo. They were also called the Sports GT if i remember correctly.

New engine arrived at Doritech about 12. Swapped and running by 6. Rich is a true hero.

It's a mint little motor, car runs better than ever. Strong power, was lighting off the tyres in 3rd lol :D

Now since you've teased us, you need to post a picture of a fitted engine! :p

BTW What engine is that?

Tbh it looks exactly the same as the old one because I had to use the old rocker cover. It's a late model SR20DET from a SpecR s15. My old one was ropey and worn out and ultimately blown up, this one is mint.

DC2's seem to be flapping in an upwards trend atm. DC5's have always been strong and new imports are even stronger.

Combination of declining supply, lower insurance, cheaper fuel and the buyers having increased disposable income.

or "honda tax lol!"
