Show us your kitty cats

Heres 4 of the 5 cats I've been looking after these last 2 weeks

This is Archy and Blackie (I know its lame but when he was a kitten, he was given a generic name to stop my Auntie from getting attached to him as he was supposed go to another home, well that didnt work out and now he's back but the name stuck.)

Alots of fights between them as well, Blackie is a right little thug.

This one is Sweep. She's a bit wappy as she got hit by a car, and she's spent so much time with the dog, she thinks she's a dog.

And here is the 4 that actually show up at feeding times.

The one on the floor is Goldie and she's quite old now and can get grumpy. The other cat that is missing is Sooty, she's all black and is Sweeps sister. My Auntie reckons she's being feed elsewhere and only comes back every now and again. I've seen her 3 times these whole 2 weeks.

My cats get swept off work surfaces by trhe forearm of justice when I catch them on there! However, I envy your Aunt because she's realised that you can have more than 2 cats without havinig cat WW3, which is something my wife is seemingly against. :(

Cluney never goes up on the counters. Quite surprised as I often leave food out. He'll just sit on the floor and cry until I share my dinner with him!

I've always been freaked out with pictures that show lots of cats at feeding time. They really do look like they are plotting something!

Thats more he wants to go in that room then lust for destruction, i think :)

Indeed. What he is trying to is dig a tunnel from outside the room, under the door and then into the room he wishes to enter.

With the speakers though, he knows I shout at him when he uses it as a scratch post, so I feel he does this for attention.

There may actually come a point where he manages to dig a whole, through the woofer and into the speaker.

Going back to the discussion earlier about cat food, I decided to splash out and buy my kittehs some decent quality dry food for the month.

So I paid £9.99 for 2KG of this stuff:

I must say their reaction to it was very good. It recommends how much you put down so I weighed it and did it and they ate a fair bit but it looked liked they were enjoying it AND it was filling them up!

Also, compared to GoCat (That I mix in with wet food) it smells 100 times better. Cats have 14x the smell of humans so I rekon it must smell amazing to them. I would actually go as far as trying one of these biscuits myself!

It also says it contains 47% protein and all the ingredients look awesome. Very happy with the purchase and I'm sure my kittehs are too!

Give them a few days to adapt to the new food, but keep an eye on their stools. I found that both my cats had loose stools when on this and they simply couldnt adjust to it. In the end I had to stop giving them Applaws.

I've just ordered some Bozita tetrapacks to try and get the cats off of the tesco premium stuff i bought before knowing it was mostly junk. Someone on the petforums site made a great thread about the different wet foods listing all the ingredients and nutritional data as well as a cost per day so feed.

Todge. DO you have a link to that thread. I'm interested. I feed my cats Tesco luxry wet food, simply due to the good price and high meat content.

EDIT: if memory serves me correct, Tesco premium has the same 4% meat content, same as pretty much all the other cheaper wet foods.

its here

And yes, all that's stated is the 4% "flavour" meat. When we bought it we thought like millions others that cat food was cat food. We've just about enough to last until the bozita arrives and so that i can ease them onto it gradually.

We also have some go cat (4%) and tesco (35%) biscuits that they aren't yet interested in, but since they are at least eating plenty of wet food.

This is what caught my eye:

Looks to be the best value, high quality wet food out there.

Bozita seems ok, but I would need to buy 54...what if my cats dont like it?

I have tried out Natures Menu and HiLife (pouches). These are both very high quality foods, however, the cost is prohibitive, working out at around £5/kg, which is ridiculous. The same goes for Applaws wet food, which IMO is the highest quality wet food out there. It actually smells and looks as if its good enough for human consumption.

I just bought one of each carton of the Bozita in Jelly from a company called Mutley and Mog. That way i can find out if they like it and what ones they don't like and bulk order after that. Delivery looked like £4.50 no matter what you ordered so i got some Worlds Best cat litter too to give it a whirl and get my moneys worth on the delivery!

more pics of the moggies.

Really hoping I can get more pics of Opheila soon. She's be so timid that its really difficult!
