Dave hasn't been home for two days now though :(

My 10yo cat has been missing for 36 hours now, longest she's been 'away'. Starting to fear the worst now :(

So glad mine is indoors. I just couldn't deal with the stress that would create.

I had a major panic a couple days ago when I couldn't find her - she was sleeping in a half-open drawer in my clothes chest :p Right at the back, so I couldn't see her...

Like you we had a major panic when we first had Holly - we couldn't find her and blamed each other for letting her out - Then while I was in small bedroom I thought I heard a meow called wife and sure enough we did - searched all wardrobes then got steps out to look on top - They are built in and in corner there is a gap between the two corner ones so got mirror and torch and there she was at bottom of 6"x12" gap - out came one wardrobe only to be met with another panel - so got her blanket - tied some string to corner and door handle and pushed blanket down then went and had tea - 10 min later in she walked. -

At least it gave us chance to clean dust off top

Don't need to worry now as she is to fat to jump up there.

I lost Suki for 9 months

I was walking down a road in cardiff and i saw a cat that looked like suki she repsonded to the call had the same markings on her chest and followed me home.

She still lives in cardiff with my old house mate as she ****ing loved him and when i moved up here i couldn't bring her with.

Crazy though.

suki she's 9 years old now

I looked into getting a sphynx, but the fact that they are hairless means that they can get cold very easily in non-Summer months.
With Maine Coons - I discovered that they shed quite heavily and that the house would quickly be covered in fur - so decided against them.

In the end I went with short haired cats - Bengal and Egyptian Mau.

My cat Millie, now 3and a half, never ceases to let me know how weird she can be.

Yesterday I used Detol's Power & pure all purpose kitchen cleaner to remove a couple of marks from my downie cover. A short while later I spotted Millie sniffing at these spots before going into her catnip style roll about in complete ecstasy movement, which went on for some minutes.

I am going to spray some place else later to see if it was indeed this household cleaner that got her going.

As I say weird.
