Show us your kitty cats

I got a email for a nice bunch of freebies from The Natural Pet Company on Amazon earlier. I think it was because of a trial I took part in a couple of years ago when they launched their product range and sent samples out to people and you had to post a review of the product on Amazon. Anyway, this time I am getting a Luxury Feather Dangler For Cats, Feather Refill 6 Pack and a Tick and Flea Remover Multipack. My two love feather toys so it will be interesting to see how long they last. Not sure about the tick and flea remover as I already have the O'Tom Tick Twister but I will give it a try. Just under £30 of stuff for the time it takes to do a review. :)

ahh he's a cool cat :D

Well my Lad around a month ago was sat outside and wouldn't move panting like crazy my sister brought him in and when he hit the floor his back legs both splayed out in opposite directions suspected car hit but In all honesty I think it was one of the kids/lads on the street (I'm not the most liked since I tell it how it is...;)).

He lasted 3 days as the vet was very optimistic about recovery as he couldn't feel any breaks or anything but on the third he quickly started going into shock again so grabbed a box of which he didn't stay in as he quickly got out and laid on me to get comfy only outcome really was letting him go.

I still expect him to be where he always was (had his own chair!) he always use to come up at night too as I got into bed was always a fear he would go out and never come back especially at his age (14 years we had him, 7 with his sister) still had plenty of life in him though...

He really ended up sleeping most of his days this past 2 years though, He would sit with my mum and rest it on her leg as she knitted (yes shes old) and really he was starting to struggle getting up stairs doubt ill ever find a cat with his personality unfortunately.

Took me some time but managed to find a pic of him on his Ikea Poang (sorry its dark)

Had a call from the Vets and Tigger is dead. Someone brought her in to the RSPCA and she was ran over.

For those that remember she was an abandoned cat that I found at the Supermarket and was so full of life and she was taken away from us in her prime. :(

RIP little fella. If there is a cat heaven you'd be tearing that place up.

I haven't posted here in while, so here are our kitties now that they're a bit more grown up (1 and a half years old roughly)

Marley:

She is ALWAYS doing this, she rolls over onto her back and just stares at you

Sorry to hear that twirly and evil, it is awful to lose any cat that way :( Just over 8 weeks since my TC was killed on the road, I still miss him every day.

:( I still haven't recovered from one of my first pair being run over a few years ago, felt like I lost a child...

Thanks for the kind words. Only have one cat left now which is the oldest and definitely the wisest, but at 15 odd years of age she just sleeps all the time and wasn't as active as Tigger and Smokey who we also lost earlier in the year.

Tigger wasn't as domesticated as the others probably because she was an abandoned cat when we found her and had some more predatory and territorial instincts than the others.

I still feel a bit numb knowing she will never come home again but I've grown up with a family who love animals so the experience has taught me how to deal with pets that have passed away.

At least I can say that she had a happy life (even though a short one).

Edit - I hate the feeling where you're helpless to do anything and don't know what trauma the cat might have been going through or if it had died on the spot.

So sorry twirly and evil. :(

Bruce is turning into a right poser as you can see.

He's allowed out unsupervised now when I'm at work during the day. I think he's enjoying it, and always comes running when I get home and call him :)

I think they're all enjoying having a garden with grass as well now :)

My mum had this 15"x11" watercolour done for me of my cats Heidi & Jester that i sadly lost either side of Xmas last year,
its behind glass so its tricky to get a good photo of it..

she had it done by Linda Birch who was the illustrator for Bagpuss, quite fitting :)

Seems like the best place to ask. Have any of you cat owners introduced a dog (puppy) to the household? Our cat is 11 next year but we're worried the about the stress introducing a puppy could bring.

Went to the parents yesterday and saw the old man..
