Weekend again and we had to go find Ronnie again - Walked up lane then back and wife hears him calling us - he then shot out of hedge and marched home in front of us - Got home and thought what hell is that on his left side - We now think it was cow poo or something like that- This morning it was bone dry so got load of cotton wipes and soaked them.
Looks better now - Them we noticed he is favouring his right back leg and it looks swollen - He jumped off bed then onto window sill to go out and he was being carefull with his right leg - He started grooming the joint on his leg - Just hope he banged it more than anything elso.
Also found out why he was always up lane - Load of bales by hedge and he has been seen rabbiting along with bringing them home.

Been working in garage and it's throwing it down so he came in - Made him a nice den - he just went to sleep on cardboard on the floor.

For you cat lovers have you had issues of your babies catching things and bringing it home?

So far Ronnie has brought in a magpie, a rabbit and a mouse since I Adopted him at the end of April. No idea how he caught the magpie.

Seemed quite proud of himself running up to me and sitting down with them in his mouth, cried endlessly when I took them of him but im not very happy with the little murderer. Reluctant to get a cat flap because I have no idea what he's going to do.

Yeh, probably mentioned it here before.

Many moons ago, before I was retired, and still had a cat (Bandit), I came down in the morning into the kitchen, and there was a squirrel that looked like a victim of Jack the Ripper.

Head gone and missing, left arm off and placed parallel to the shoulder, and the stomach surgically sliced open to display its guts.

Lovely thing to see first thing in the morning, whilst still half asleep. :p

It's a tricky one. It's the one disadvantage of a young cat.
Most cats try hunting a few times, then just give up. Usually, by two years, they are almost oblivious to birds, unless they almost fly into their mouth, but you do occasionally get a hunter. The persistent hunters tend to be the females, not the males.
There's no point in telling them off, they don't understand. The best thing to do is pop a glove on, ignore the growling and take it away from them. They pretty quickly learn that you're going to steal their prize, so they stop bringing them home.
The plus side? I have two 1-year-olds and the house is completely free of flies and spiders!!

This is getting silly now - Just had another Vet bill of £106 for painkillers and antibiotics for Ronnie.

He has a bite on his right rear foot - right between his claws -Gone inflamed and swollen -So back giving him pills and liquid antibiotics.

Poor old sole is hiding under the table now.

Soon bed bed time and he can jump up on bed for the night.

I'd give him the boot from there, if I was you.

Funny coincidence, one of mine has just healed from a similar wound. It took a very long time to heal as well, thanks to the location.
Vet bills are ridiculous now. I'm scared to take mine.
