Show us your kitty cats

It's all really a question of how much do you want to spend. Unfortunately, cat food has gone up by a huge amount over the past few years.

I use Whiskas, occasionally some Harringtons biscuits, fresh chicken and fresh liver.

My three cats eat a minimum of ten pouches a day. Work that out and it's a lot of money!

Every cat is different. I get eight different flavours and rotate! All three cats like all the flavours, but they get bored very quickly if they aren't given a mix. They absolutely love the biscuits, but they are expensive, so I usually just sprinkle some on the Whiskas.

All three love chicken. One loves fish. Two prefer the chicken to be raw. One won't even eat the chicken if it is cooked. Same one happens to like raw liver. She also hunts for herself to supplement her diet with some natural, healthy stuff!

It's not a good idea to start them on expensive food, because it's difficult to get them off it when they get older. Anything nice you feed a cat it will expect tomorrow and demand the day after.
Some good tips there, thanks :)

I spotted a great deal on Iams kitten food. Got 10 boxes of 12 pouches for £35. So that will keep them going for a bit :)

Hah, this is so true, ours will now not touch anything other than the Purina biscuits. We've run out before (delivery delays) and tried them on some "emergency" supermarket food, and they'd rather go hungry :p

My daughter has just adopted a Female kitten, totally adorable little bundle of fur. Her name is Crunchie.

The fluffy man has hit 10kg  his brother appears to be hovering around 8kg, but fluffy just keeps on growing!

We had a big floofy boi last year who adopted us until his other family moved away. He was covered in mats. We had a bit of success with olive oil of all things to shift (some of) them, but incredibly stubborn mats just about all over. Fortunately he humoured us trying to manipulate his fur this way and that.

How do you deal with such overwhelming floofyness?

When we rented for a while we had a fluffy cat adopt us - We called him Wilton and he lived three doors down - Problem was he was stone deaf and grandkids used to jump on him and he struck back because it frightened him so they left him out.
His fur was so matted he ripped skin off side of his belly trying to straighten up -he walked sideways.
So we made it our goal to trim him bit by bit -He didn't look posh but he was comfortable.
he looks sad but wouldn't you.. They wouldn't take him to be groomed

Yeah I just don't understand people who don't look after their cats. Sad. It's no joke being matted up and as you say it's more than just uncomfortable eventually it's life threatening.

I've not had issues with him here really, he's brushed occasionally. When I was on holiday I gave him to my cousin for a bit, and he came back matted up real bad under all four pits and across his belly, I think the type of carpet was the culprit. I just cut them out with scissors, and the bad ones I shaved with clippers. He's been chillin since.

He's a big lad, must cost you a few quid in food
:p
Haha they share a 500g sausage of meat per day between them, so not much really :)
edit: here you go:

I linked to a bulk box of frozen, complete raw cat food. 20x500gm for £42+£10deliv. My two Maine Coons (so larger cats) share a 500gm portion between them throughout the whole day, for £2.60pd (actually less, as I buy two boxes with the single shipping charge).
