My cats have waffle blankets like that, except they are mostly destroyed by the millions of biscuits they have made in them everyday
Got himself comfy
He never really does the whole biscuit thing, he must have been fired from the factory and is on benefits now.
How old is he? If that's what retirement looks like I'm ready to retire right now
Boots is 18 now, she's enjoying retirement from mousing. Here she is asleep on her giant beanbag I bought just for her. Much to my wife's annoyance.He's only 2

She's now slowly on her way out, but can still find a use for cardboard packaging that arrived today.
I did cut the packaging so she could better fit inside it.

My two suck the blankets as they knead them. Sucked holes in them and all the fluff off the blanket lol.

Recently became a cat parent, had these two for almost 8 weeks now(time flies). They are coming up on 6 months old and slowly getting more and more of a personality each day. Small photo dump. I used to always be a dog person but I think it's safe to say I have been converted.

My neighbours cat passed away in his sleep today.
Sad times. Little fellow was old and just got slower and slower. Eventually stopped eating and just faded. So sad.
It was no big surprise. He has been looking like a badly pruned hedge for some time.
We often forget that they have short lives compared to us. It makes me feel better to think that we can assure they have a great life from birth to death. More than we can expect ourselves!

So the inevitable day has come, Casey is being put to sleep today at 3pm after giving us all of her love and some terror over the past 13 years.
Upset isn't a word which covers this, she will be badly missed and i suspect both dogs will be searching for her in the coming weeks.
I won't however miss her trying to murder me on the stairs most days.
The household is very sad already, dreading 3pm

Yeah compared to us their lives are short
Though if in the wild
Their lives would be so much shorter
So we have with vet care,neutering etc
Given them so many extra years they wouldn't have
Gotten from nature

Luckily he seems to be coping fine
Without the old boy around any more
Though he won't eat any scraps of meat etc
He always waited and watched the old cat to see
If anything was edible
If the old boy ate it first then he would follow

I am so sorry.
It's only sad for us. They are so lucky not to understand. Our intelligence is a terrible burden for us.
