It doesn't need anything, it's just a numberplate:p

Jez, that is correct it does spell out my name and I've been pulled over in the Scooby quite a few times for different reasons, but never had anyone mention anything about my plates (apart from the smaller one I put on the front of the Scooby).

For about 8k you could buy 89 GS, 84 GS, 85 GS, etc (estimated your DOB).
The plate that matches my username is also for sale but £11k bit too much for my liking.

Sorry, only closest for sale is 786 GS :/
yeah, closest i found was that 1968 one :(

Out of curiosity which site are you looking on? Have been keeping an eye on DVLA auctions for plates but not quite finding what I'm after.
I find there are so many of these places it's hard to pick one that is the best, i also find it is a bit like download sites or such like that claim to have what you want, but when you register you find they don't, a bit like those targetted search results that are at the top of google results that everyone ignores because they just take your search term and return it repackaged into a con to make you click it.

Last time this subject came up on a forum and i was in the thread i think everyone had a different site in mind, i too used to watch see what gems the dvla had.

Someone once said to try forum names for plates as a bit of fun, and mine was not taken (GN51NGR) unfortunately it was also not registered, and if they are not registered by the dvla in the correct time period, you cant (as far as i know) register them at a later date :( shame because that one would probably have cost me all of about 50 quid lol
