only thing thats changed look wise is the wind deflectors there not to everyone's taste I know.. the lights have changed as I fitted the xenon's from the s4 which make a great difference on the roads up here. and the wheels. again the wheels aren't to everyone's taste but there 17" rather than the 16" it was on. I upgraded all the brakes and the 16" wont fit now.Looked better before...
other changes that cant be seen..
1.8tqs interior, 312mm front brakes (upgraded from 288mm) , FL S4 rear brakes 256mm vented rather than 245mm solid, 130bhp inlet manifold and turbo, bigger nozzles, egr delete, and it has been chipped by morebhp.com
ohh and there's a new set of eibach springs to be fitted with rs4 shockies next year the plan is to put a s/s system on it before its mot as was advised on its exhaust this year and a custom s/s system is cheaper for it than buying a standard system.

My first car... cost me £500 (not including the gearbox kart on the roof) and the guy had just put £450 in parts into it... did me well until I got my first MX5.
My first car was a £50 1.3 vauxhall chevette that ended out with a 2.1 pinto in it after 2 weeks of having it on the road as I blew the engine up on the M8
Im sure that was about 1994.
one of my favorite cars I had when I was younger was a black MK1 ford sierra I got it off one of my dads neighbors for free.
he had lost the keys and had bought another car.. he told me if you can get into it and get it started its yours!!

300quid Tigra, lasted 3 years with just a new axle after I handbraked it into a curb in snow
The dink on the back in the picture above was from a snow incident... hehe

I put an old Audi 100 through a dry stone dyke one night in the snow..
it was a single track road I was coming back from my work and there was a fiesta coming towards me down the hill and it was sliding sideways and my first reaction was to get out of its way as I knew if I hit it with the Audi there was a good chance I could have seriously hurt whoever was in it.. so I took it up the grass verge and through the dyke.
the Audi suffered a bent bumper, creased wing, cracked indicator lens and broke the headlight bracket.
after calming the young lass down in the fiesta when I looked at it I honestly reckon I would have folded it in half if I had hit it.. it was rotten.
she had hit the grass verge after she passed me and it had bent the inner wing that bad the wee car wouldn't even drive.

I really, really fancy one of these... but at the same time I keep thinking BMW of some sort... or a Megane 250/265 Renaultsport... in fact there's about 20 cars I want
But the little Fez seems to be at the forefront for value for money and none of these "premium" cars I've looked at have significantly better build for the price tag, admittedly I've not been looking at the bigger motors, more so 1 series, Golf MK6's etc etc.

Going to the fiesta what would you gain from the focus? You would loose the awesome sound of the 5 pot. But I guess if you are not happy with the car...

Also, a £600 remap puts the Golf in the same performance bracket as the above mentioned cars. 0-60 in 3.7 secs

Regardless, it was a ridiculous discussion to suggest someone looking at a new Golf should also be considering 10 year Aston Martins.
