Show Us Your Motors!

Oh I dunno my Focus does move! But a much newer car, with warranty which would be nice. Cheap cheap cheap running costs, both fuel and tax. They seem reliable to the sense of I've not heard anything major out of warranty issues people have had to pay for. With mine I'm waiting for the clutch and flywheel to go or cracked liners haha. Fez is much more chuckable and pointy as the Focus is a bit barge like really, it handles nice but you can feel it's weight.

At the moment my Focus is running good and sounds awesome now I've got my exhaust how I want it. But I really do like the idea of one of those little Fiesta's as I do loads of town driving and they'd make a more suitable car for such usage/such an environment.

Going from a near 300bhp Focus to a 185bhp Firsta sounds like an epic fail to me :p even standard the Focus 2.5 ST is a little quicker on the straight than the Fezza.
I agree though they are very nice the new ST Fiesta's and seem a very fun drive. I even considered one before I got my Focus when the ST2's were going for something like 1.5k down and £160 a month on lease sites but I can't keep a car longer than a year I get bored after 12 months. :(

Aye it's about 290ish BHP. Airtec frontmount, AS enclosed induction kit, 3" downpipe, decat, mongoose cat back, collins stage 1 map engine wise. So it does motor quite well... gonna try and go have a proper drive of a Fiesta ST MK7 this weekend; hopefully a mountuned one.

From what I've seen and owners thoughts on people who've owned both...the Fiesta would be quicker :p

Well the MP215 upgrade which is only £600 and retains your ford warranty gives the Fiesta pretty much the same 0-60mph and 30-50mph in gear times as the MK3 Focus ST (granted you can mountune the Focus as well but still).

Personally having owned a stock MK2 Focus ST in the past, the Fiesta (mine is stock for now) is definitely more fun to drive and is much more entertaining in corners. Power wise both feel around the same due to the weight difference.

You don't even miss the sound of the 5 pot too much either as the ST's sound symposer sounds pretty nice in the cabin.

The Fiesta is 200bhp at stock. :p

Is it :confused:I thought it was 185bhp then 215 with the Mountune upgrade? I could imagine it's well more fun to drive than the boat like Focus though :D I've only been a passenger in the new Fiesta ST so far. Round corners my mk2 ST doesn't feel anymore nimble than what my Mondeo ST220 felt

It has overboost so generates 200bhp at WOT for 15s, this resets every time you lift off so it pretty much has 200bhp all the time since I can't think of many occasions where you'll use WOT for longer than 15s at once.

200bhp with overboost, they just cant advertise it like that in the UK. they can advertise the torque overboost figure though weirdly.

The Fiesta is hilariously nimble around corners. So much front end grip. The whole car just pivots around you.

The whole active-braking-fake LSD thingy is surprisingly good too.

The Fiesta ST is advertised as something like 182bhp in the UK (and probably Europe) as they can't say it is 200bhp as that is a limited time overboost figure . However, the brochure does show the torque figure during overboost, 290nm (in brackets).

If my memory serves me correctly, without overboost it has 182bhp and 250nm of torque and with overboost it has 200bhp and 290nm of torque

It is sold as a 200bhp car in the US
