Show Us Your Motors!

Tauren, nice little fun go kart you have there. :)

Thank you Ace. I love it. Great around the corners :p

Your 370z is awesome, the soundtrack it produces must be amazing. I bet she shifts too :D

so are the any actual decent roads to enjoy the car a little? :o :)

Nothing over 35mph unfortunately :( ... I'll have to take it to the uk if I really wanna Give it some welly !

Well the 370z is a power beast @Tauren but the fact remains I was unsure between the MX-5 and 370Z for a short time shows what a fun capable car the MX-5 really is. I loved test driving both vehicles.

One of the major deciding factors was the much more limited boot space in the MX-5 compared to the 370Z and for work I need a little more space.

Suppose I also couldn't be bothered with the hairdressers training course too :)

Ahhhh. Fair play @Ace Modder. The boot size is a little lacking on the mx5 I do admit.. fits a hair dryer and stylist kit nicely though ;) :P

Gone are the days of an mx5 being considered a hairdressers car though, i think :P

It really does highlight the insecurities of others, doesn't it?

I find it hard to imagine how much stick at work he was receiving for him to get rid of it though? Like, for me, I'd have kept it even longer because of the abuse. If you get rid of it, 'they've' won?

Why would people give so much regard to what other people think of their car? Shame he felt that way. Unless by abuse it genuinely was dangerous...

I guess it does depend on the industry. I'd probably get some jokes made in our office but would quickly disperse. When I used to work in an agricultural engineering company, they ripped me apart for my 1990 Nissan Micra (and then again in my next job, too). But I thought the car was pretty great to be honest. And to date, after owning 9 different cars, it's the only one that I sold for the same value as I paid for it.

Well the new MX-5 RF is a much less hairdresser car than any of the older models, and at the end of the day, if office banter makes a person sell their car. I think that person has bigger issues *********! :)

P.S. Where do you live @Tauren that means you have a top speed limit of 35mph? Jersey ?

I would never let myself be bullied by co workers about my car. They can shove what they think where the sun don't shine :p in any case, they all think it's great. And I work in a factory. :)

Edit. I think times have changed tbh. I do remember back in the 90's a lot of people getting stick for owning this car. :p

@Ace Modder , close ! Guernsey  jersey has a slightly higher limit I think. (45mph on some roads iirc)
