I think that's a bit of a sweeping generalization. It depends on the power to weight ratio, the way the power is delivered, and to some extent the drivetrain/mechanical grip on offer.

My TT has 250BHP, never feels anything more than "enough" power-wise, but the car is pretty heavy and the N/A V6 likes to be revved, the power delivery is smooth.

The 306BHP S3 on the other hand spools up and can become a bit lairy depending on the conditions, the power delivery is not smooth at all, it also (weirdly) weighs less than the MK1 TT.

250BHP in something as heavy as an A8L or long-wheelbase 7-series would never be too much to exploit on the road.
It is a sweeping generalisation, but I did say "almost all road cars". The fact is that your 250hp TT will comfortably exceed national limits (and, limits aside, safe speed for many roads) without you driving flat out everywhere, so I stand by my original statement.

Found another use for the Mega Matt. It makes a great bumper protector against scratches from the dog... ..... :-)

Let's be honest, in almost all road cars anything more than 250hp is too much to exploit on the road on a routine basis. Sure, more is great for fast overtakes, but for example in the M3 if I overtake say 2 cars travelling at 50mph with my foot flat down I'm doing the best part of 100mph by the time I've passed them.

Doesn't stop us all wanting more though!
Agree I end up going to fast and always backing off in my M3. S2000 I can drive at full beans without getting ahead of myself.

Just need a DCT box for the Honda!

Anything is possible with the right cash and research, A company down in S.Wales have managed to make the BMW DCT Transmissions work in the mkiv Supra.

A change to the S3. Loving it.
That shade of blue is probably the best offered by any manufacturer imo it looks incredible in the flesh. Is it Ultrasonic blue? I know they do a different one on the new LS structural blue edition which looks similar.
Probably my favourite colour followed by the Lapiz blue on the Golf R

Interesting swap... That S3 looks fresh. How long did you have it?

Coming up to 2 years. Decided it was time to grow up.

Yes, or USB for short. The pictures don't do it justice sadly. Best colour, period. Imho of course.

Ah the tips. Not everyone's favourite. They can be changed but I like them because they are different. The whole car is... different. Sometimes different is good ;)
