Lovely photo!

How's the E46 going, haven't seen much on it recently (the forums do seem to be much quieter these days with less "quality" threads/content...) You still plan on keeping it until the end of time? :p

I update my M3 thread from time to time!

Definitely yes it's staying with me. 2020 has put a slow burn on many drives though. I have not been out of town since March whereas I'd normally be travelling all over visiting places and people. I do drive still but locally along the coast and winding roads. The induction noise still makes me very happy. There's no replacement for this kind of noise and the way it feels :)

I will not become a tally on the list of people who sell their E46 M3s and then at a later date regret doing so.

Took the S2000 for a spin yesterday and was amazed at the grip on offer considering conditions, Ohlins and CSC6 tyres doing a great job and decided to bring the S2000 home instead of leaving it in the garage at other property thinking I’ll put it in garage tomorrow to then wake up to snow everywhere, but love the look of snow on cars:

We haven't had snow here, but it did get down to just below freezing last night, and we'd had heavy rain the night before. I went out for a bit of a morning drive on quiet roads...it was okay at first, just damp it seemed. But as I got out to more rural roads, the temperature dropped a little and I had a couple of those heart in mouth moments where the steering goes light over a patch of ice. I decided to call it a day, turned around and made my way home rather sedately.

the S2000 has aged well :)

I know the Abarth is a lighter car at just shy of 1100kg whereas S2000 is circa 1200kg but the S2000 feels like driving an armoured Caterham in a way, it feels light, such a pointy and sharp car now with the Ohlins fitted it’s an absolute joy to drive. Next year I’ll finish of replacing rest of bushes, not that there is anything wrong with them as car has only 50k miles, just want it as new. Will then maybe explore getting it mapped but only on basis I can restore back to factory map if I dislike it as the Vtec cross over is great fun.

my first track day was in an S2000 with an instructor, needs to be revved, iirc the rev counter goes up to like 12K or something?

Below 6000rpm you might as well be driving a Honda Civic they are that docile. Between 6000 and 9000rpm is where all the fun happens.
That Jekyl and Hyde personality is what always made the S2000 for me. Docile and easy to drive at low RPM but an animal when you want it to be. All at mostly sensible speeds.

This is my favourite S2000 video and really shows the difference between low and high RPM:
