Looks lovely! How is it vs the RS6?

Thanks. It’s obviously a very different car, but to sum it up, it’s just more fun, more of the time.

in the end I decided the RS6 was just too big and heavy. 600hp was great for acceleration and straight line speed, but it was too laden around town and rough on poor surfaces. The ride quality on the Honda is incredible in comfort mode, far better than the Audi in comfort which felt a little brittle.

After lockdown I decided I wanted to have more fun. I also need an element of practicality (child related) and I think this fits the bill perfectly. It’s relatively cheap thrills.

Have you still got your RS, or are the WBAC values getting too tempting?

Glad it’s ticked all your boxes, they do look like a great car. I’d certainly like to test drive one to compare to the Yaris - that was great but a little impractical.

As for the RS4, still got it and still love it. However, I’ve ordered an EQC via the company - a complete flip - but the BIK rates made it too attractive, especially when coupled against the ever increasing WBAC values. Sadly a case of when I sell it, not if.

Does then allow the second car “chat” which points to Yaris, Civic if feeling extravagant or more likely, an older Fiesta ST etc

Just delivered this morning...had a busy morning sorting bits out and looking after little daughter so not had chance to really get to know it yet!

As Acme was so horrified at the arch gap when I first got the MX5, I have finally got around to sorting it.

She has been away for rust prevention treatment, Eibachs fitted and alignment. To go with the PS4's I had fitted a month ago, Bridgestones weren't quite doing it for me.

So before/4x4 Spec:

@Jester* looking much better! Nds really do sit high. Am I right in thinking that you've got a thread on PH? Rx8, gr, rx8 and Nd? Not a bad collection

Thanks pal, obviously the main benefit are the scene points and lows.....(but that fact it handles much better, less roll more pointy is a handy side effect )

Yes indeed thats me! 3MPS, RX8, MX5 and GR. I actually have got an RX8 update as well. Better pop something up.

I don’t know why you keep saying write off

Why would Aviva write the car off when the car is worth 5K but would only cost 2.5K to repair?

50% is normally write off territory. What if the insurers spend £2.5k to repair it but you're not happy with the quality of the repair, it then goes back to the garage at another cost of £xxx once or twice plus the added internal cost and headache the insurance company has to deal with, and boom, definitely in write off territory.

2.5k is just the repair too. Courtesy cars add a fortune on, too.

The garage pays for the second attempt if the repair isn't up to standard, as you'd expect. Not the insurer.

If the repair isn’t up to scratch, pun intended, would that not be up to the repair shop? :)

This makes sense actually, plus other costs.

I really hope they don’t write it off :(

I'll be honest and say i actually really like that primer grey colour.

In the flesh I think it looks great, the black roof and alloys really compliment it.

The amount of people staring at the car today is mad...never owned a car that people take not of.

Won't last long when more and more are in the road mind!
