Took the Evo for a run out to get some photos in advance of putting it up for sale - will be genuinely sad to see it go but has to in order to make other crazy ideas happen :D (Sorry, huge diversion from EV comparisons going on :p)

Thats a dream car right there. Looks very tasteful too.

Not that it's something I could possibly go for, what's the rough price in mind for an example such as this? Definitely a modern classic imo

*If you don't mind me asking, no worries if not :)

Thanks :) When I first got it I wanted to change the wheels as I'm not a fan of black wheels but in person it just works.

My car will be going up for £37.5k although I'm also talking to a couple of the raffle websites about it (one of them being Dreamcargiveaways who I won it from) so it might not even make it to being fully up for sale.

The Evo's can be had for much cheaper but mines a bit of a unique example as its quite a rare 'GT' model (Japanese market only, no AYC, stronger 5 speed box) which commands a decent premium over the MR/FQ models. In addition to that has lots of high end genuine parts fitted & a £8-9k underside refresh in 2019 - you'd be amazed how many of these suffer from rust I know I was.

You won it? Nice. How many tickets did you buy?

Long story but had gone in quite keenly on it :) It's actually the second car I've won from DCG - I won a 208 GTi Peugeot Sport about 18m before the Evo. Year or so before that I won a motorbike with 7Days performance too :)

Evo may well be going back to Dreamcar, they've offered almost what I want for it so will see if we can cross the divide somewhere in that regard.

You jammy sod.

Never got close myself. All my favourites were won and shipped up to people in Shetland :D

Did I ever post a pic of mine? (I stopped coming here years ago but for some reason found myself browsing again the last few days...)
Of all the years I've been ******* about trying to make cars faster, I should have just bought this thing and been happy..
This is without doubt the best thing I've ever owned.
