Show Us Your Motors!

170k Mile 19 year old Saab Shed. 300BHP 420NM. Into 9th year of ownership.

Just redone the gearstick bushes and the throw is like brand new now.

Car pic is a few months old but interior is as is. Kids are just filthy.
Had two Saabs and loved them both. A Saab 900 XS Taladega Special Edition 5 door (built like a tank) and a Saab 93 Vector Sport 150 Estate. They were just so comfortable!

Having the Mclaren serviced before its manufacturer warranty expires as i've discovered some potential issues which extended warranty may not cover, including cracked door hinges (a known weakness), so its in for a full health check and service (£900), as always the service is superb, latte upon arrival, some freshly baked cakes and grabbed a load to bring home for the other half. :D

Some pictures they have sent to me whilst they do the service:

Thought I'd share as its always good to see cars like these in bits, not quite as an intensive operation as the Ferrari is currently under going, but all been well I should have the 458 back next week all fixed up.

My Mclaren loan car is a rather plush and comfy Audi A6 4.0TDI. Like driving an armchair. :D

P.S. Hinges confirmed as having cracks, both sides, claim submitted along with new gas struts at same time, save me a circa £6000 future bill.

Bit of a moment for me today, attainable dream car achieved. Mustang Bullit edition, in Dark Highland Green of course. Absolutely in love. Standard other than a Steeda H pipe, the sound is glorious. Recaros and magnaride as the options.

I'm curious, are the replacement hinges a better design or is this potentially kicking the can down the road?

To think you were set on a different colour. Looks absolutely stunning.

Yeah I’m so happy I got this colour. :)

The hinges are a known weakness which fails on all sport series cars eventually. Replacement hinges are the updated GT versions which so far have no reported failures. :)

Funnily enough I’ve been looking at these this week - great car.

I keep on looking at 140i's and Mk 8 Fiesta ST's to replace my current Mk 7 Fiesta ST. It just feels like a lot of money to spend (looking at around £23k for 140i, 17k for Fiesta Mk 8) with maybe £6k part ex for my Mk 7 but I could comfortably afford it. I mean, I enjoy my car and I don't really spend money on much else; it might also be the last opportunity to buy a real decent displacement engine as we approach the 'No ICE sold cars plan'

I do have a credit card with a limit of £13k at 0% for 13 months. At the end of that I could likely find a 0% Balance transfer (no fee) and essentially pay for the car over around 2, maybe even 3 years at 0%.

Mk 7 is approaching 83k miles now and it's actually the longest I've had a car ( 3 years) but has shown very early signs of a clutch slave cylinder needing replacing.

I've driven a mate's 140i plenty times and had a 340i before the Mk7 so I know I love the engine. I think maybe I need to test drive a Mk 8 Fiesta and see how I feel.

Or, just... keep the Mk 7 for another year..? Or, sell the fiesta and buy something that can tow a small trailer, and a track (motor)bike and start racing(?)

If you wanted someone to bang your head on the desk then I am your man. 17k for a FIESTA? How old is your MK7?
