My daily drive is about 20 miles, so far i have achieved 22 - 26 mpg with some spirited driving LOL I suppose your MPG is all about how much fun you are willing to have. Test drive. One thing i always get the seller to do, is put the vehicle in the top gear say 5th or 6th and from low revs...

I've wanted a Lotus since I was a child, and have been fortunate enough to be in a position to buy an Exige 350 Sport this week. Over the moon with it!

Done 10k and never been driven in the wet, I was a little unsure of that statement but the underside is a testament to that! :eek:

This thread (or OCUK in general) always makes me feel so poor. Feel a bit silly putting my car up on a page after I've seen lots of cool ones! But there is power in loving what you have and not worrying about what others have... Even if I'm super jealous!

My trusty A1 (2.0 S Line Competition... a whopping 200BHP) will be leaving me next weekend to get replaced with a new S3 Saloon in the same colour. It's been fun to drive but it was never the car I really wanted. I was supposed to get a BMW M135i but the covid delays pushed the car too late and my partner was not long from giving birth so we needed a car. This came up, I liked it and it was a decent price so it seemed sensible to go for it.

It's just too small now though. Perfect as a city car but it turns out kids have a lot of luggage that goes with them. I'm also driving more now since changing job and I was going to blow past my predicted millage so made sense to trade it in whilst I had decent equity.


You can all go back to your super-cars and desirable coupes now :p

Nice A1 tbf, hadn't seen one kitted up like that. S3 Saloon in the same colour will be a pretty stunning car too in fairness.

All about perspective and how different people have different needs etc. E.g. I've got my McLaren (just) but your car is 5 years newer than anything I've ever owned for example :p And I have no need to consider kids or commute etc (well, the latter they're trying to push me on but the little clio daily would pick up that slack)

This image was one that I saw a long time ago but always sticks out in my mind :)
