Show Us Your Motors!

This thread (or OCUK in general) always makes me feel so poor. Feel a bit silly putting my car up on a page after I've seen lots of cool ones! But there is power in loving what you have and not worrying about what others have... Even if I'm super jealous!

My trusty A1 (2.0 S Line Competition... a whopping 200BHP) will be leaving me next weekend to get replaced with a new S3 Saloon in the same colour. It's been fun to drive but it was never the car I really wanted. I was supposed to get a BMW M135i but the covid delays pushed the car too late and my partner was not long from giving birth so we needed a car. This came up, I liked it and it was a decent price so it seemed sensible to go for it.

It's just too small now though. Perfect as a city car but it turns out kids have a lot of luggage that goes with them. I'm also driving more now since changing job and I was going to blow past my predicted millage so made sense to trade it in whilst I had decent equity.

You can all go back to your super-cars and desirable coupes now :p

Honestly the supercar posts interest me about as much as a post about an Audi A1, so you're fine. :p

We need more classic cars, quirky hot hatches, japanese imports, and other things that would make you stop at a car show and have a nose around in here.

First off, a true petrol head finds interest in all cars. I'd like to think most people here are petrolheads. I was getting excited and dreamy fawning over a Mk1 Escort last week, just staring at it and thinking "I wish I had a Mk1 Escort Twin Cam".

Secondly don't get fixated on things. Things are nice to have, trinkets of success for many, but again for the petrol head a passion over a show. Easy to say when you have, perhaps, things that people want but really with age you realise that health, family, friends and experiences would all take precedent over a nice motor and the former ones, by and large, don't been to be bought.

Really like the colour! Looks great

Proper quirky and cool that.

I’ve looked at the Elgrands before, would be useful for lugging the MTB etc about
I’ve got one too, great vans! So versatile with the seats flipping up, sliding around.

I’ve got a floor rack for the bike to stand mountain bikes. Front wheel off and clamp the forks.

Bit thirsty but tolerable. Weirdly a really fun van to drive
