(Pics aren't great, just a mess about on the drive one evening ;))

Oh_my_god :(

That actually upsets for some reason, seeing once such great cars fall into the hands of knuckledraggers :( It now looks like it has collapsed suspension, what a shame to see them going this way.

Serious business?

It cost me less than it'd cost to build a half decent PC. The old suspension was past it. I haven't cut the springs like the majority of 'knuckledraggers' would.

At the end of the day it's a 12 year old banger with nearly 160k on the clock The badge/build quality isn't that important anymore.

The value is irrelevant, it was/is a nice car and as a car enthusiast i appreciate how nice they once were.

Its just a shame to see one in such a sorry looking state like that :(

Well the best thing about coilovers is it can be raised to look considerably less ridiculous.

But it's all horses for courses at the end of the day. I can appreciate your opinion. :)

I think everything in moderation, sometimes things can be lowered too much.

Practicalities too, my last car had a 30mm drop that turned out more like 60-70mm and left it somewhat vulnerable to speedbumps

When we'd finished it the front was about 20mm lower (wasn't expecting it to be so low) than it is in the photo.

I went to over take some scooters on the way home and the bottom of the bumper hit the cats eyes. /facepalm.

Pic of my very cheap banger 52 plate Kia Mentor 1.6 LX :P

Decided to dump the 14" steelies with Runway tyres
Replaced them with some 15" alloys & Falken ZE912 tyres

Also brand new front & rear disc's and pads

Drive & braking is much improved.
