Also dark interiors don't hide dust/debris like light ones do and I like to keep the interior dust/debris free so it's easy to spot such things whereas, say on a cream interior you'd not notice any dust until you ran your finger along a piece of trim! I suppose that's a downside because it forces you to stay on top of it all the time, unless you're lazy or weak :p

Whatever it is though, the carpets and footlining MUST be black because anything else would drive me mad when you get black scuff marks from people's shoes that require ages with a foam spray and brush to clear.

For me it is as follows:

Red > Black > white > anything > cream for me

Also, having the big nav screen and the large bits of silver mean it's nowhere near as dark a place to be as my e46 was, much airier :) Also the black doesnt feel AS black if that makes sense. lol

White?

Dude... :p

While i prefer the airy spacious feeling of a light interior, it just doesn't wear/age well.

The 3 series I had with a Black leather interior and over 200k km on the clock looked way better than my Range Rover with only 40k km on the clock and cream leather and headliner.. never again (probably).

Oh I don't know. My 166,000 mile, 9 year old, E46 330d had a light grey interior that was in far better condition than any black one I'd seen before or since for a similar age/mileage.

Heck, even my 16 year old, 125,000 mile E36 325i with it's tan leather was in better condition than most black interiors with half the age.

That's only because most owners don't give a damn about their interior condition :p They probably also pay the local riff raff to wash their car for a fiver once a month :p

Edit*
Ah you said your 330d.... I.....well....¬_¬
