My new Prius 2006 T4 got it for under 4k. Surprisingly didn't find the lack of speed hard to adjust to from my Type R and enjoying the very smooth and easy driving life. Cheap as chips to run and tax and insurance dropped 200 quid as well.

I have to say I'd take a Prius over any similarly sized diesel if I was desperate for MPGZ.

It least it doesnt sit at the traffic lights at your local high street going DAGDAGDAGDAGDAGCLATTERDAGDAGDACLATTER

Absolutely. The silence is blissful. The stop/start in the Focus 1.6TDCI I recently had was a godsend. I don't care about the economy savings, it made no horrible noise!

Is that all they are worth?

Hi had to travel down south to get it they usually go for around 4.5 to 5k for a T4 but got this one as a good deal. Up here the same spec and age is around 6k. The colours called Driftwood Pearl but is more of a metallic bronze doesn't come out very well in that picture. So far I am enjoying it its very quite and the stop starting of the engine when needed is brilliant.

Averaging 58mpg at the moment as I only do about 4k a year it seemed like a better option than a diesel especially with the price of diesel just now as well as the fact its an automatic and I do allot of town driving is great. Obviously its not everyones cup of tea but then we are all different and I wanted to try a hybrid :p

Not doing much more than 4k a year at the moment is why I'm happy driving a woefully thirsty V10. Surely at such a mileage you could run something a lift more conventional and even at say 30mpg would not really spend that much on fuel.

If you only do 4k a year why buy a freaking Prius?!?!?

Still dont seem to be following the part that I wanted one and like how it drives and it has saved me money on both insurance and tax. I have allready had plenty performance cars including the Type R and a big V8 as well a BMW and a golf GTI. I wanted something cheap to run for a change as I said to myself few years back if petrol hit 140 I would :)

Corts about £400 extra a year if you drop to something that does 30mpg. I wouldn't hold your hopes up about the price of petrol dropping though.
