Show Us Your Motors!

At the end of september I won't and brought a facelift st3 running 300bhp. Thought it would be a fun car and make me happy. Well it didn't, it just didn't seem to work out for me. They are great cars, and I wouldn't advise against getting one.

So the next chapter in my car live starts as follows:

Now it's not even as close to as fast, but for the journeys I do (all town driving) it's more then enough. The cabin is a very nice place to be, and at EX spec I have plenty of toys to play with. Also I have the piece of mind of 1 years warranty and fresh service.

Is that what they call it?

I remember lauighung when these came out, they had obviously worked quite hard to ditch the OAP image and following - most of the ones I was seeing on the road just after they came out were beige or brown :)

That Vitesse looks awesome. There was a time when they were one of the favorite traffic cars for our local plod and both my top tier gaffers used them as fire service officers cars.

Are we still doing crap night pics :p?

I've saved up enough to upgrade now, but the damn Japanese engineering just keeps on working :p, not found a good enough excuse to change beyond 'I want to' and that's not strong enough to blow my savings on a Z4 just yet!

STANCE YO?

Here is my 54 plate Hyundai Coupe 2.7L V6. I have had it for 6 months now and, even though it's more of a cruiser than a car that you can chuck around corners, i quite like it. The cars i have owned in the past have been the 'safe' options like vauxhall cavaliers, Ford Orions, VW golfs e.t.c so i just fancied something a bit different. This is the most expensive car i have ever bought at £1500 + an old diesel Fiat Punto that was knackered as part ex. So far i have changed the front pads and discs (mintex dimpled/grooved) and back pads and that is it. It is a little overdue a full service (around £370 for a full cam belt service) but i should be getting that done in the next few months.

I would like to get my lights 'de-ambered' too

I recently got a 07 plate Hyundai Coupe, albeit the 1.6 and its quite a nice looking car with decent fuel economy. I can't really complain.

What's the economy like from the 2.7?

I only do around 100 miles a week in my coupe and I tend to put about £35 in the tank every week. If i worked further away from work i would have to buy a car that was cheaper to run. Luckily for me i pick 2 lads up on the way and they give me £10 a week each so i only have to pay the extra £15 petrol. The main costs for my car are

Tax = £270
Insurance = around £800 (look at my location ;))
Servicing/parts = next service £370

Quite expensive to keep on the road but then i don't have kids and our mortgage does not cost much so i can, just, afford it.

I should have waited and got myself a 2L version but when i went to look at this V6 i had to buy it as it is in very nice condition and only had 54000 on the clock with 7 stamps in the service book (last service was at 45000 so it is a little overdue now at nearly 57000)
