Sigma 35mm f1.4....?!!

Onestop are great. I ordered my 100mm L and Sigma 35 1.4 from them and both were delivered in 2 days, it went have been sooner if the UK airport was closer to me. Pretty incredible service really.

Thoroughly enjoying my 35mm, it's been permanently attached to my 5DMK3. :D

Any customs invoices or payments required?

None what so ever. I've ordered 4 lenses from all of the main Hong Kong sites and have never paid customs, It's definitely the way forward.

Cheers, was that standard or DHL/Fedex delivery?

Edit: Doesn't matter, ordered with Fedex/DHL as both were free.

Cannot wait, the pictures over at Photographyonthenet look epic!

It was DHL/Fedex. The two times that I've used Onestop they've used DHL. They are insanely quick! If you place the order before midnight GMT it will ship the same day over there, you'll get the email that it's shipped around 2PM in the next day. It will most likely do a very quick stop off at Germany and be with you 3 days max.

Well, We'll cross paths as I'm flying to Munich at lunchtime tomorrow and it'll get into the UK before I do going by your estimates :D

Yes it was just some stains/marks on the inside of the front element. Will check thoroughly when home tomorrow of course :)

i bet you cant wait ,book a day of work:D
thanks for the update ,i really am thinking more about one of these but its not great quality control .i guess that's what the warranties for

Don't get me wrong, the circles didn't show up in any images and chances are my copy was just a one off as none of my previous 2 top Sigma primes had any such issue. These kind of things happen to me randomly though from monitors having issues to phones dying to watches having faults...you name it I've probably had it happen to a product I've purchased at some point :D

:D well enjoy the return
ive got an image of gollum saying my precious in my head strocking a sigma:D:D

It's £90 more in the UK, for that I get try it out in the shop and a 3 year UK guarantee... Decisions decisions...

I'd pay the £90. £45 a year extra for the warranty. Just cleaning of an electron on the front element cost mrk £42 :p

I will get this lens and I want the 50mm too but I like the look of this lens so much I'm holding back on the 50 in the hope it gets the same type of re-fresh :)

Yeah if buying now you should weigh in the pros and cons. When I got it remember it was £550, a much bigger saving than what you will get now.

Yes! The 50mm FL needs to be addressed as there is a gap at the moment with Canon lenses. Actually, Sigma have left my nerves shattered after my experiences with their 50mm; I'm now suffering from pixel peeping disease. I have been fine for years! But Sigma's 50 has turned me into an anxious sharpness freak!

Hi my name is.. I have a problem..

I *think* my 35mm is fine. But it doesn't stop me examining EVERY capture. :(

I hope there isn't any calibration issues with them opening it up, I'd hope they check for this of course but my 35 is so sharp at 1.4 I don't even give it a 2nd thought. I just slap it on 1.4 at all times unless I know I need a few more things in relative focus.
