Sigma 35mm f1.4....?!!

good lord, sigma pwning the prime market! STEP UP CANON!!

They have been refreshing their L zooms in the past few years.

24-70, 70-200, 8-15. Sigma's 24-70 still sucks monkey's balls in comparison, even to the Mk1.

Hopefully though they will refresh their 35L, it is 16 years old, predates the Canon D30 (not mistaken for the 30D).

Quick sneaky look at a shot from today. Can't not like this lens for any reason :p

Great minds? :p

^ That one wasn't my idea, normally I don't do stuff like that but a groomsman wanted to do it that moment. Turned out fine!

^ This guy was amazing, played customised covers on his one man band setup.

Loads to go through, eyes need a rest.

I know the feeling. I've covered 4 days and I'm absolutely shattered. I only managed to cover two art exhibitions yesterday and had to come home. Treated myself to noodles, walked through the door and dropped them on the floor. I nearly cried :(

I spent all last night processing photos. I've even used that processing style I don't like (the faded look) as it suits the image (I feel dirty :D) and many other styles. My planned website has hit a glitch too, as I've lost the link for the wordpress/site/shopping basket theme I'd planned on using for it. I also can't decide on a host, so I'm just sticking them on flickr and facebook at the moment until I pass them to the journalist later. I've still got another 400 to go through.

*twitch*

Nice wedding shots there Mrk. The one with the Bride and the boat needs straightening though, its tilted to the left.

You might want to shop the pole sprouting out if her head as well. :p
Very nice pics though, I like the processing glad you havnt gone down the fade look route. This threads making me want a ffer and this lens.

Cheers! It has already been straightened in the final product, just was in lazy++ mode to update the forum image above before :D:

All of these were lit using ambient light. Flash use was only during the first dance as a kicker for skin tones.

If I bought one of these from a competitor that lets you do bank transfers and costs only £513 as a result, would the 2nd hand value be hammered as a result? They're listed for more than that currently 2nd hand.

I think the value will hold well. Those bank transfer prices from a store are for imported lenses no? I can't see it being bested by any other lens in the sub £1k category for quite some time.

WOW! What a lens and some stunning examples of what this lens can do!

This or the Sigme 18-35mm f/1.8 for weddings?

Except their own 50mm out this week :p

Since when was a 50mm a 35mm? :) (which is what I was referring to as we were talking 35mm).

Depends what your requirement is as always :) Use both, see what works for you!
