I'd leave it running if you can, and check on it periodically. It won't get any quicker I'm afraid, and may periodically disconnect you from the server, though fortunately it does resume.

I can't believe they've left this p2p patching system in from the closed beta, complete joke.
I'm not convinced that it is p2p. I know it was much talked about, but I just think it's because the servers are hammered.

Do you think that is because of QORE subscribers alone or the first bunch of beta codes have gone out already and if you have yet to receive then you have missed it ?

This will be the QORE subscribers AND the previous beta participants. It was bad enough the last time around, and I think there were only about 4000 EU testers.
It's so backwards that it's not on the primary Sony servers. All the betas I've used on the 360 downloaded very fast.
Wish I could just start downloading it now without a key just so it'd be ready. No doubt it will take a night or two to download like that Metal Gear Online beta did. (and that turned out to be terrible)

May leave it on over night but i really didn't like M.A.G. after i was so excited about it. I was so hyped up about it. I just felt it would have been so much better on the xbox and/or PC...
It didn't run very well, didn't look very clear and it was all in all very hard to play.

It didn't run very well, didn't look very clear and it was all in all very hard to play.
There was some quite major updates in 1.1.
I'm currently VERY po'd. The previous versions would resume if you lost connection before the update finished. This version does not. I've just disconnected at 97%. I'm angry.

Because of the server problems the first batch of codes now aren't being sent out until Monday. If I get any further info, I'll be sure to keep you posted.

I'm getting angry with mine now. After updating to 98%, the download froze. I've restarted the PS3 and now I'm locked out of the client "This content cannot be used on this system." Basically it's suggesting that someone has used the content on another PS3 (which they definitely haven't).
